The Mourinho Thread

This article says most of what needs to be said on CFC at the moment: http://www.espnfc.us/club/chelsea/363/blog/post/2612034/jose-mourinho-needs-to-make-change-if-chelsea-are-to-recover

meanwhile, the answer the Mirror's headline question:

"Can Jose Mourinho find the answers to Chelsea's crisis and finally build himself a dynasty?"

... is probably a resounding "no," but anything is possible ... I guess. Something other than just big money on superstars is needed this time.

You're spot on, and i agree with you, because it's a realistic view of how things are at the moment, i said in my previous wall of text that for the whole team to act so disinterested it can't be only the manager's fault, it's a mixture of many things, to name a few:

-Post season and pre season were a waste of time, we traveled half the world too soon and too late in the summer.

-JT and Ivanovic played 38 games last season, they're spent and fatigued even now from last season.

-The likes of Fabregas and Hazard seems satisfied and can't be arsed to show themselves on the pitch.

Many other things, we probably don't even have any idea of what they are, unless we'd be there to see with our own eyes how life is behind the scenes. But do you honestly believe that the players and manager will perform like this for the whole season? I don't, it's an absurde thought for me. That's why for many of us holding responsible only the manager is absurd, he is certainly responsible for many things, but all of them? Calling for his head after 5 games after a double winning season is moronic. I do get it that you and many others don't like him, he's not a character that everyone will love, but like it or not he's our current manager, so maybe a bit of backing him wouldn't be that bad. If anything as you correctly pointed out if we'd sack the manager we'd have to sack half of our team because they can't be arsed to put a decent performance.

Myself and countless other posters here are not clamouring for Mourinho's immediate departure. What we have here and lets not use the word blip is a worrying state of affairs on and off the pitch. The knives are out lets be honest the media are reveling in our current problems and what does Mourinho do?. Get involved in another totally avoidable row with Martinez. When a dullard like Martinez says he was great last year when they beat us 6-3 then it's just embarrassing. Do your presser get the fuck out of there and have a go at your under performing players not press conference etiquette.

What Mou says to the media is not an issue, in fact I would say it's quite proper. I get where Mou is coming from, he wants to send out the message nothing is wrong and there is no crisis. Saying otherwise would invite more media frenzy and circus, that would not help. last thing we need is amplyfy the media pressure.

has not done a lot of things right this season, but that is not one of them.

If he continues to be stubborn and persists with the same players then he deserves everything he gets (and that includes a sacking). What sort of manager will put favoritism above the team. Unbelievable. I can't stand stubborn people/personalities.

If Jose can survive this crisis he'll be a Legend

I don't say that he'll be like SAF that pass the crisis at 1987 and got a lot of trophies

But if only he make through this crisis me myself will think he's Legend with no doubt

Cause i believe that one function to make him pass this crisis was changing his philosophy about football and tactics

He really is stubborn. Him playing basically the exact same line-up week in week out is ridiculous. I remember last season after that horrible game against Psg he basically played the exact same team the game after. He claimed he was showing his 'trust' in his players. I thought last season that what keeps Jose going is the trophies he wins, hoping that the Premier League would be enough to somehow get the old, ruthless Mourinho back. But maybe I was wrong, and the Premier League trophy only made him more arrogant, in a bad way. Some part of me still wants this to turn around and not have the managerial merry-go again, but as we all know, Jose is a captain of ships that are travelling steadily, not a captain of those that need to be steadied.

His stint at madrid was an indication that the old Mourinho was a thing of the past and his performance in his second tenure at Chelsea further strenghtens that theory.

In a way, this might be Jose's last chance at reparing his repuation after madrid and he's failing miserably at it.

what top club would want him if he gets fired or decides to leave? You can point to his winning record but the rest of the elite teams demand more than just winning. they want to win with style, dignity and respect. they want a continuation of the long standing philosophy and identity at their respective clubs, they also want a drama free atmosphere. all of which jose is incapable of providing.

Calling all Chelsea fans wankers because they disagree with you nice one. You can't see the wood for the trees that's your problem son. At the moment Mourinho looks like a frustrated father who's watching his kids under 10 team getting soundly beaten every week. And instead of facing up to his own inadequacies he's looking for scapegoats to blame.

The thing is I actually agree with what most are saying about his unjustifyable team selections and his non existent use of our youth.

But

To want him sacked!!!

Pathetic!

Calling everyone wankers was strong. I have to hold my hands up there and apologise but it angers me soo much to see our fans turn on Jose Mourinho. This is a man who has given us unforgettable memories (good ones). Yes he is making consistent mistakes thus far but we are only 5 games in... That's 5 flipping games.

It feels like this forum has turned into a Real Madrid forum or something.

Maybe I

how can people not understand a simple thing as this.

IT IS NOT ABOUT OUR POOR RESULTS IN THESE 6 GAMES. IT IS NOT ABOUT LOSING.

it is simply about the FACT, that jose is putting his love for certain players over the goodness of the club. how difficult is this to understand? i mean seriously.

Here's a scary thought. What if Jose genuinely believes the crap he's been saying in his post match interviews that we have been playing well and creating chances but just unlucky. It's also possible that he doesn't think the performances of some key players is as bad as most people do.

For there to be a possibility of a turn around, the manager, first, has to concede that we have been absolutely dogshite and seek to identify the reason behind it. To me its either he recognises how bad we have been but too stubborn and clueless on How to fix it or he's completely delusional. Either way we are fucked.

what jose is doing currently, i can do that.

keep choosing the same team and players again and again and again, and magically hope for things to be fine.
