A year without CL (from a new manager's perspective) wouldn't be too bad. A lighter season in terms of fixtures dedicated to Prem & FA Cup glory gives a new manager a year to figure out the team and what he was available to him before making a serious run at Champion's League glory the following year.

Me and just about any fan + the club would be shattered to not qualify for CL. But for a new manager who knows all too well how quickly a head will role due to poor performance may find a bright side in not having as many major competitions to juggle.

i wont get carried by the potential second of the Special one-Jose, all i pray for is top4 finish and Europa cup if we can really make it....d rest m sure will figure out itself very well...we have young talented players capable of ruling the world of football...all we need is a manager that will motivate, give them physical and stamina training...with thess in place Chelsea f.c will be unstoppable

Fair enough...

Just hope its not another window where we are always "extremely close" to signing someone, then end up signing some extremely crap player towards the end of the deadline for a lot more than he is worth. Hopefully get in early, get the manager, get the players we want in then bed them in.

Yesterday they were the first to break Götze to Bayern. Also one of the first sources to confirm Guardiola to Bayern. Not sure though, seems fishy that a German newspaper would be the first to report this..
