Wrong, De Bruyne was only given a handful of games even after he showed promise in the pre season friendlies. Mata was our two time player of the year but benched and sold because he didn't fit Jose's opinion of a #10. You both seem to be fans that can see no wrong in Jose even after he left our club 1 point from relegation. I can maybe understand this because your both Portuguese and want to support Jose as your countryman.

Also calling another Chelsea fan mentally retarded is quite weak. I would personally never call another fan that. Why dont you show some more class next time mate and Im sure the mods will give you a warning. But looks like you will cheer for Jose no matter what so once he gets appointed as Man Utd's new manager I will be glad you go and support the man and not our club.

Mata has lost form in early 2013 and hasn't been anywhere near the same since.

KDB fair enough, but Mata has shown nothing to suggest selling him was a mistake, infact last season he only got 4 assists, Oscar and Willian have got critisised for low numbers but for a supposed creative genius to only get 4 assists in a season is awful.

When it comes to talking about Mata at United, people like to ignore the fact that he hasn't played in his best position and that he's always being used wide, under Moyes and Van Gaal. Oscar - in the No.10 position, his best position - hasn't even come anywhere close to matching Mata's performances, goals and assists when he played in that same role for us.

He was number ten in second half of 12/13 when he started to go off the boil.

Also, out of position is an excuse to a point, but not for how much he's gone off the boil. Anelka, Modric, Azpilicueta, David Silva, Bale, prime Ivanovic, were played out of their best positions and did well.

Yes but you're talking as if players don't lose their form.

I take your point but different players have different adaptability. Not everyone can excel in different positions (don't think I would use Modric, Silva, Bale as examples) and for every player you mentioned above, you could probably name a few who works better in a certain position than others.

I noticed it especially because I went away for 2 months between the Reading game and Saints game and watched all games inbetween in one go pretty much (full games) and one of the things I noticed was how much he dropped off, it probably had a fair bit to do with burnout in his defense but he was every bit as poor in that period as Cesc has been this season.

An on the second point fair enough, however his flaws were still obvious even in his prime for us, but one thing that was widely known as Matas strongest point was his final ball and assists, even out of position under AVB he was still assisting, and with 4 last season, Oscar and Willian get slated for having similar low numbers in a season

The main point of what I responded to Parky tho was the fact he criticised Jose for letting Mata go, it might have been painful on a personal level letting him go especially there, but on a footballing level for me it defiantly wasn't a mistake and £37m was a steal for us.

On a side not it wouldhave been intersting if Mata went before KDB, Salah came in and played a lot of games as the 5th attacking midfielder, so De Bruyne might have got a fair bit of game time too, so maybe he would have stayed if Mata went first.

What a complete and utter twat. Is he a disgruntled Man United fan definitely not or just someone who's trying to make a few quid by selling cheap shit to people who don't know any better. And before anyone says it's only Man United who cares if a fuckwitt like that turned up on the Fulham Road he wouldn't last five minutes.

If he is such a big chelsea fan as he says he is, he would never chose united. Lets see how loyal he is...

Let's not fool ourselves, he is more in love with English football than he will ever be with Chelsea. He just doesn't strike as that Terry-type legend. Heck, even Lampard and Čech went to play for our rivals.
