The Mak 4,459
do you think it would return as before? no cech , drogba , lampard , cole, ballack anymore. I doubt oscar and baba will be running the dressing roomthe big question is why ? most of our squad dont seem that type .Well, if the players start playing well as soon as Mourinho is gone then they know that in future they can just down tools when they don't like the manager to get rid of him...I guess we'll see. nullabletype and The Chels

LukakutoStamford 779
Sacking Jose? Well, keep dreaming tonight. If rather sell the players who are under performing than see Jose leaving. As the guy said on video we can sacrifice this season to keep Mourinho.Well I hope you are willing to sacrifice two because nobody of note is coming to Chelsea when they are in the championship bethos1 and Reddish-Blue
Starman60 1,343
Some years ago Nottingham Forest won the European Cup with Brian Clough and set records during his reign, and he was as iconic a manager as Jose Mourinho. Forest got into a bad run, but the board at Forest stuck with the manager who brought them the world and made them Champions..........They got relegated and have never got back........Just saying Reddish-Blue and Henrique
Popular Post! DYC. 7,542 Posted October 31, 2015 Popular Post! Share Posted October 31, 2015 Well, if the players start playing well as soon as Mourinho is gone then they know that in future they can just down tools when they don't like the manager to get rid of him...I guess we'll see.New managers can cause a spark though. I wouldn't necessarily link it to consciously turning it up because they got rid of the previous manager. Most of the time it's just the players trying to prove themselves and claim a spot under the new manager. Or simply a welcome freshness in terms of training, playing style and tactics. I don't think an entire group of players can be that diabolical.I still say it's mostly linked to the physical shape. And then it got so bad it affected the mental shape. I don't buy the motivation crap. Not after one measly title. Besides, Courtois, Ivanovic, Terry, Cesc, Matic, Hazard and Costa (only mentioning starters) won a title(s) before. They, and others, have won cup competitions as well. This is very much like Dortmund last season. They too reached a point of no return. New manager Tuchel is playing with the same team for the most part though, but he dropped a couple of underperforming players, made some changes to the roles of certain players and changed Dortmund's style in general. He didn't even have to go out and buy top players or get rid of players 'who don't care'. This is the best Dortmund team since 12/13.It may look like it right now, but these players haven't forgotten how to play football. Popular Post! Liquidator 5,176 Posted October 31, 2015 Popular Post! Share Posted October 31, 2015 To make a case for his resignation I'd like to ask when people think he will turn this around. Before the West Brom game on Saturday 23 August Mourinho said that he had been 'working harder than ever before' to 'turn things around'. September and October have passed since and can anyone honestly tell me we look better now and there has been a noticeable improvement? I can't. If anything we look worse. 2 shots on target today and one was a pot shot from 40 yards. Counter attacking at home. It was absolutely pathetic. What cause is there for optimism? Are things just going to magically click into place because we are not slowly turning a corner in any way. These are not high calibre teams we are playing generally- Liverpool, Arsenal and Man City are the only teams we have played who are likely to finish top 6.I came to the end of my tether with him at the West Ham game to be honest. If people want to keep telling me 'It's Jose- he's the best man for the job' then what does someone worse for the job look like? He's 52 years old. He's been in football a while, especially first team management. His assistant manager has already been sent off. Why then does he think it's a good idea to try to enter the referee's dressing room to berate him about decisions when his team is 1-0 down? That isn't 'passion for the club' (and quite frankly he isn't 'one of us' or whatever the cheesy bollocks was that he came out with) that's pure stupidity. He left his team out to dry in the second half as a result. That's cowardly. Is it a good idea too to keep moaning about what Wenger gets to say and he doesn't or how biased the refs are? Its childish. Are the consequent fines and FA hearings and touchline bans and negative press the answer or would a cool head be better? Focus on the team and not childish arguments because the team needs your attention. His decisions this season are baffling too. Can anyone tell me what he sees in Falcao? What a kick in the teeth to Loic Remy that must be who bailed Jose out midweek (albeit temporarily but that isn't the point) to be stuck on the bench when a crocked Falcao who makes Torres look like Lewandowski is getting the nod over him. Looking to the bench today straight after we conceded the second goal was laughable. The second the goal was scored he got Falcao in from his warm up and putting his match shirt on. 30 seconds later he's chucked on. It was like watching a Sunday league manager. From the kickoff it seemed Falcao didn't know where exactly he should be and the shape of the entire team fell to pieces. We rushed absolutely everything and consequently couldn't keep the ball. It was like we'd been challenged to score in 30 seconds and I couldn't tell you what formation we were playing. Formation is something I often struggled to decipher under a Mourinho team that needs to score. It was the same against Sunderland (2013/14), Crystal Palace this season and today for example. It becomes a big every man for himself panic which seems to often result in us being hit on the counter attack. This leads me onto my final complaint: Kenedy. When he came on he was far brighter than Eden not arsed because I can fuck off to Madrid in the Summer Hazard but when we took Azpilicueta off he gets shunted to left back. Kenedy is an attacking player, 19 years old, new to England and both on his debut against Crystal Palace and today he is played totally out of position. Would we play Hazard, Willian, Schurrle, Salah or Remy as a full back? No. Sounds silly. Well they are also attacking midfielders/ forwards. So why Kenedy? He got no help from Fabregas defensively when he came on and was expected to help in attack too. Far too much was expected of him.I love Jose for all he has done for the club but I just don't see how he can possibly turn this around. As much as I would like him to be able to I just don't see light at the end of this tunnel. Do we wait until January and allow him to spend money? You could argue that quality players don't become available in January. We'd have to see out November and December with this clearly quite disjointed squad which shows no signs of turning things around. If this form continues for another 2 months there is a very real danger that we:a) Won't qualify from our Champions League group Could potentially find ourselves in the Europa League with a pile up of games in faraway corners of Europec) Will struggle to make top 8 in the league No Champions League football would be a disaster for this club for next season. We can't improve if we can't sign high calibre players because they will move elsewhere to a team that guarantees European football. See Man United for reference. With the talent this club has at it's disposal Mourinho should be ashamed to say 'It is a very competitive league so I cannot guarantee Champions League football.' Would the Jose of 2006 have said that? That's a get out. On paper our squad is top 4 in the league no doubt. He can't seriously tell us it is normal for Liverpool to finish above us with Joe Allen and Emre Can in midfield because it is 'a competitive league'. Pathetic. If he finishes outside the top 4 with this squad at his disposal he has failed. No ifs or buts. 13 major honours in the 12 years since Abramovich arrived. Manchester United have 10.
