The Mourinho Thread

I think our team and moreso Jose is waay too focused on results rather on good performances and football.

With good performances, results will follow and people will be more entertained.

Honestly Im not as sad about results as Im about how we play. We play absolutely terrible football under Mou except for those three months from august to october 2014. Rest was bad. Yeah we got results in league but we playing quite uninteresting football. Not to mention we performed realy poor against atletico and psg in CL.

I love Mou but I love football more. And by football I dont mean tiki taka, but passionate, high pressing, efficient football where players actualy try to play. We had that in previous time under Mou, but I dont see it nowdays. Everything seems forced that we are a happy club. Mou has no friendly relationship with any player as he did with Lamps, Drogba, Riccy, Terry etc in first spell.

Im seriously split between keeping Mou or going in new direction. With Mou even when we had results, we played bad. I dont think I want to see more of such football in this age, because we have way too much talent on our team. But any change in manager spot will only destabilize club even further. Anyway who would replace him? Only coach available that could get us out of this is Carlo, but even he would have difficult time.

Bottom line I see players disinterested to play for Mou and if best for the club is that he leaves, then he should.

November was the best month of Mourinhos second coming purely because of the West Brim and Schalke games, we played breathtaking football in those two.

I have changed my mind about Mourinho, I think I want to give him time till end of season. We are already in a bad state and like many pointed out that will not change anytime soon even with a new manager (unless the problem is the players don't want to listen to Mourinho in which case it is really really unprofessional from them and that would disgust me more than their form and performances on the pitch).

Like I have stated several times in this thread, he shows me that he can make us play good football. He can change tactics when needed I wouldn't mind keeping him on for few more seasons.

It hurts to see my beloved team lose, but it hurts even more knowing that for the sake of short term gains we will never be able to have an identity ( in terms of how we play and we will never have a style of our own)

I am going to put my faith blindly on Mourinho till end of season, by the time which if he doesn't show that he can make us play good football he needs to stay the fuck out.

Come on Chelsea, its not losing but our never attitude that should define us.

:blue scalf: Keep the blue flag flying high. :blue scalf:

probably would be better off giving JT a player-interim management position and letting players like Fabregas and other coaches run training sessions in an attempt to get this squad playing actual FOOTBALL again.

hire Gary Neville. the season can still be used to build something positive regardless of all failures, but Jose isn't going to be the impetus for change.

We want football.

If that is the case then I wouldn't respect any of those players ever again, its would be pitiful.

"Third, Mourinho is believed to have asked Chelsea a € 30 million payout in case he is sacked. "

Is this the amount we'll pay? If that's the case no wonder Roman seems to be more patient this time.

Not sure on the numbers but they would have to pay him out his full contract value, unless there is some kind of agreement based on performance, 30 mil sounds close enough though.

i am doing a 180 here.

let him stay here for this season.

why should someone else clean his mess.

why should we pay him for being shit. we obviously would have a clause in the contract saying no top4 = no severance pay or something.

if we dont get top 4, it goes on his CV.

if we dont get european place, it goes on his CV.

if we go trophyless, it goes on his CV.

we will survive. by the end of the year, he will be gone - of that i have no doubt - then would be the time to really assess things. players like oscars and cescs - are they really worth it?

meh, cant wait for this season to end. already made peace with our fate for next season (no european competition), hopefully its a one-off like united rather than a continued spiral downwards like pool.

ps - now its been 6 games without a goal from attacking play.

If you don't count Villa's mistake, then yeah.

it was not "attacking play". by attacking move i mean a proper move which led to a goal rather than guzan giving us the ball. so yeah, basically, what you said. just so disappointing.

I honestly believe he doesn't give a fuck about anything except himself and those of you that believe he is Chelsea through and through have been sold a lie :(

I cringe every time I see a "he loves us!" comment. Cech and Lampard have taught me that there is no love in football. I honestly wouldn't be surprised now if Terry went to United or Liverpool for example. And I especially do not trust Mourinho, he's like a sly demagogue.

If we dont get european football next year, can he do the simple things.

can he do the required youth integration?

can he make RLC, baba, zouma, kenedy a permament or an important feature of our team/squad.

the likes of oscar, cesc need to be thrown out. mikel, rambo are okay options but we need a strong bench. a bench which can actually be used to be rotated. JT and iva most probably wont get an extension. so our mid and defence both needs an overhaul.

our attack has been poor and non-existent. infact we have looked out of ideas. can he gives us an identity. these are the questions we must be thinking about. and right now, i just dont know if he can do what would be required off him.

Mou did the honorable thing yesterday, no hitting out or punishing of players, no he protected them. Finally a positive approach, maybe there's still a glimmer of hope. Pool will be quite decisive. An important match cause both Mou and Klopp are looking for vital wins. If we win this could be the beginning of a resurgence, if we lose it's further down the spiral for Mou, for the team and even for the fans. The vitrol and squabbling is quite prominent on the forum these days. Let's all stand in unison saturday!

Well he tried throwing some players under the bus and that didn't work so he had to try something else.

Why would we want to rebuild with somebody who produces terrible football and won't give chances to younger players?

It'll just be more of the same.

Leonid Slutsky, the manager of CSKA and Russia, is a possible candidate to replace Mourinho if sacked.

Good manager.

I think the players dont want to play for jose anymore...

They hate his defensive tactics.
