The Mourinho Thread

People like you two are totally reactionary.

José's history suggests he's worth keeping. Perhaps he is having a rough spell personally with his father or whatever? All the more reason to stick by him until he comes through it.

You don't just lose it over a summer.

Some of our football under him last season wasn't great to watch but you always felt confident we'd come through.

Coaches of Mourinho's calibre aren't easy to come by and should be afforded the odd bad season. You can't be successful all of the time. To sack the man who won you a double last season, a man who has won 3 of your 4 league titles is nothing short of short sighted. And if he goes this time, he's probably not coming back.

Everybody needs to be patient, take the rough with the smooth, and suck up the bad results.

How long do you give him then?

It's been getting worse since Jan and his erratic behaviour and crazy team selections - do not inspire confidence. It's like he's had a frontal lobotomy...

I would call Muzchap PROACTIVE ,, which is what I would like in my Manager . Jose was that once but no longer

What's proactive about bining every coach you ever have at the first sign of a dip?

Imagine if United sacked Fergie in 05 cause he didn't win anything and came third 20 odd points off the top.

At very least to the end of the season. It's the least he deserves.

Next two games are likely to be last Mourinho's game at Stamford Bridge. He is set to get a 5 match ban, and with the results unlike to improve, he might not survive untill next home european game, against Porto 9/12.

Actually next 3 games are going to be crucial. After Stoke game there is a 14 days brake, and there will be enough room to find a quick fix after his departure.

I don't remember seeing UTD in 15th? And I do remember a lot more success from Fergie prior to that

The problem I have is that Jose appears so outdated - like football has moved on and he's stood still saying 'this used to work'

Then his arrogance to blame everything except himself - how does that work

I honestly believe he doesn't give a fuck about anything except himself and those of you that believe he is Chelsea through and through have been sold a lie :(

If Ancelotti comes here, right now, with the team like this, we are fucked.

Better just take Hidding if it's possible till the end of the season (But I still hate the idea of sacking Mourinho) and then wait for Simeone or Pep.

It's actually quite funny to see people predicting Mourinho's last games here.

What's funnier is seeing their faces after each day Mourinho stays here

In the start of the season we were like 40% good performance wise, and 30% good results wise.

We got those percentages to say 50% and 100% on our run against Maccabi Arsenal and co.

Got it back to 30% and say 10% in our defeats at Porto, Southampton etc.

Since Aston Villa, I'd say we're up to 60% performance wise, and 40% results wise.

Expect us to get those performance numbers up to around 80% in the next 4-5 weeks, I think we will play brilliantly against Liverpool, because we are improving game by game, I don't know if we'll win, football is so unpredictable, but I'm delighted the players and coach aren't letting me down anymore as a fan ( although I don't think they were at the start of the season, the general feeling is that they didn't give enough... ), just a few things Mourinho should sort out in his communication ( which he already did for me with his calmness today and his spot on comments post-game ).

Up The Chels ! We can see the end of the tunnel !

That´s it, i´m done with this club, 12 years supporting this club is all i can take, i´m supporting City from now on, see ya hehe ;) call me bandwagon now will you?

Come on Mourinho, comeback to Portugal, England hates your guts, you´ve won all you can in this country, a change of scenery is required, refresh your head and start fresh at a new club and league, try France or Germany, you still haven´t won there, go and add that to your CV and when your done come and manage the portuguese national team. Nahhh i´m just kidding, stay and rot in England hahaha, i must be going crazy. It´s a joke, don´t bash me for it, i know it´s not the moment for that, but i just felt like joking, sorry if i offended anyone, sometimes i lose it lol.

I want Mou to stay if possible and change the club´s recent failures, i know many have had enough and want him out, i was one of those who bashed him, i´m not a hypocrite, but now i´m having a much clear head these days amidst all these bad results and i feel that he will turn this around, there have been some improvements, bash me all you want, but that´s just my opinion.

Come on Chelsea, forget this game and focus on preparing for Liverpool, better days will come, oh and Stoke can fark off, let them have their luck moment, they won´t even win the cup. Let´s see what the goddamn press will say about Hazard now, they must be dying to bash Chelsea and Mourinho, they will most likely say it´s Mourinho´s fault.

lol it´s the same player who played under Mourinho and tore the league apart last season, carried the team when needed, won the league and COC in the process , won many individual awards and was highly praised by his manager last season.

What´s Eden´s excuse this season? Hazard is a top professional, who´s paid to perform on the pitch as are all footballers and he has to learn and deal with the expectation that comes with a player of his quality, he´s a grown man and must assume his errors and face the heat when playing bad, yes he missed his penalty and we lost, all top players miss ( Ronaldo, Messi, etc ), of course we are all gutted specially because we needed to go to penalties when the game was there for the taking and yet again we couldn´t capitalize on it, we ´re just not getting a break at the moment when it´s most needed and we will have to work even harder for it, no point in crying over spilt milk, the game is done and dusted. Look, sh*t happens, but i want to see how Hazard responds to this upset in the next weeks and show if he is the real deal or not and so does the rest of the team, let´s hope it changes for the better. Cheers mates and sorry for the really bad joke before, i will never leave this club. KTBFFH

I think our team and moreso Jose is waay too focused on results rather on good performances and football.

With good performances, results will follow and people will be more entertained.

Honestly Im not as sad about results as Im about how we play. We play absolutely terrible football under Mou except for those three months from august to october 2014. Rest was bad. Yeah we got results in league but we playing quite uninteresting football. Not to mention we performed realy poor against atletico and psg in CL.

I love Mou but I love football more. And by football I dont mean tiki taka, but passionate, high pressing, efficient football where players actualy try to play. We had that in previous time under Mou, but I dont see it nowdays. Everything seems forced that we are a happy club. Mou has no friendly relationship with any player as he did with Lamps, Drogba, Riccy, Terry etc in first spell.

Im seriously split between keeping Mou or going in new direction. With Mou even when we had results, we played bad. I dont think I want to see more of such football in this age, because we have way too much talent on our team. But any change in manager spot will only destabilize club even further. Anyway who would replace him? Only coach available that could get us out of this is Carlo, but even he would have difficult time.

Bottom line I see players disinterested to play for Mou and if best for the club is that he leaves, then he should.

"Third, Mourinho is believed to have asked Chelsea a € 30 million payout in case he is sacked. "

Is this the amount we'll pay? If that's the case no wonder Roman seems to be more patient this time.
