The Mourinho Thread

Klopp may well like to do it but that current Liverpool team are not very good at it over 90 minutes

that's true.

I think though that the abysmal time will end with a sacking soon enough.

The January window does require an ascending CM or possibly a top-notch CM. Seems like every summer I want two CMs and two fullbacks, and in the end Chelsea sign only ONE out of four players needed in those positions. signed one Matic in a January then a Fabregas two summers ago, so Chelsea still run on one leg in CM, with Matic as the only possible top-notch box-to-box CM who can do it all. this past summer: Rahman, full stop. hard to tell what the hell people (management, board, director etc) see in such a mediocre squad from back-to-front.

(Long post full of pictures so won't quote it)

Nice. I'm ready for a fight till the end !

But then I see the same unimaginative, jaded side with no purpose in attack. All the fighting spirit is gone after 10 mins :(

If there is one manager in Chelsea's history that deserves a chance to turn this season around till the end of the season, it's Jose Mourinho.

.....

Remember this moment? He loves us, he loves Chelsea, he is one of us.

5 full seasons and 3 league titles, if he doesn't deserve time till the end of the season to turn this around, who does?

Spont on, absolutely loving your post.

Hope there is more to come. [emoji2]

I disagree....there has been a marked improvement on the pitch with effort, general team play etc.

Even down to 10 men we looked better than West Ham and more likely to go on and win it at times.

From the first couple games where we looked lathargic to now is like chalk and cheese

West Ham was one game, I'd be wary to say there's been a clear improvement just yet.

But but he is specialist in failure. Lol

You win some, you lose some, thats what football is about.

Van Gaal, Wenger, Pellegrini all of them have in common that they would kill for being the current Champions of England and Curling Cup winners.

Seeing who are the real specialists in failure is plain and simple.

* Chelsea: 4 League titles won in the last 10 years, 3 won by Jose. (75%)

* Jose: 5 full seasons at Chelsea, won 3 league titles (60% success rate) + 3 League Cups and 1 FA cup

* The longest unbeaten home record in the EPL, 77 games. (ended by an undeserved penalty vs Sunderland)

Fine if you say the majority of this is history and happened last decade, then only judge him on his second spell:

* 2 full season, 1 EPL (50% success rate) + a League cup beating Liverpool + Spurs

* never lost a big game in the league in 2013-14, beat Liverpool, United, City, Arsenal, Spurs etc.

* lead from the start in the league in 2014-15 till the end, 274 days, a record

* won the league by 16 (13) points when it mattered, ended with a difference of 8 points.

* recorded the fewest losses in all competitions in 2014-15

* didn't lose at home in 2014-15

* won the COC final, after getting hammered 5-3 by Spurs earlier in the competition.

FINALLY! Someone who is willing to remember the good he has done for us at a situation like this.

Brilliant post mate. Now just be prepared for this is Chelsea FC not Mourinho FC posts.

the original quote was zero improvement which I questioned as there has been better than zero since Porto.

You said 1 step forward 2 back since which in basic maths insinuates we have gone backwards since then to which I disagreed.

I stand by my point....there has been an improvement in general play since Porto...not much, but better than none at all
