Atleast tiki taka was revolutionary and significantly harder to master and execute. The irony is that some people have labelled Pep one dimensional for his tiki taka philosophy but on the otherhand, Jose who only knows how to park the bus against big teams is the tactical genius.

Not really true, the only games that have really been a "park the bus" job are.....

Leti and Liverpool away, depleted side, heading to the two most in form teams in Europe, anyone who doesn't do defensive under those circumstances is an idiot, even Brendan "defending isnt important" Rodgers did at Real away.

I'm not having any of the other games as the opponents in those were just as cautious as we were, if not more. The park the bus is a media sensationalist spin, I mean no one batted an eyelid when Wenger turned up to The Bridge last season packed the midfield and came with a game plan of sit back and frustrate us.

I don't agree with you.

You can pretty much state that it gets found out, I don't have a problem with that, but stop putting a "Park the bus" label on every performance you don't like by Chelsea.

Did we park the bus against Tottenham ? No. PSG in the CL ? No they were just better, and we could've won it bar 2 minor errors on set pieces ( unusual thing for us ).

Still, we lost those games, I know you can get the feeling we don't try enough when we are outplayed by the opponent, but we aren't Bayern/Barça/Real, we aren't the type of teams that dominates every opponent on the midfield, sometimes we just find better than us in that aspect of the game.

So I don't think we should call it "Parking the bus", Mourinho's method is way too known to be called like that, he's just adapting all the time to the situation, yes, this is his philosophy, he doesn't go proactive all the time by all means, when he senses that we have a weakness to an opponent, he tries to bring in a defensive answer ( Zouma against Spurs is the perfect example ).

So, we can't compare the two methods, Tiki Taka ( which hasn't been found out, it's just that 2012-2013 Barça didn't have the same workrate to implement that model ) and adapting your game plan to the opponent and to the difficulties you face.

Some people are just lazy really. Just because we don't 'dominate' against the big teams, they immediately accuse us of 'Parking the Bus', even when we do not do it. The term has been thrown around so much till the point those people have failed to grasp the true meaning of 'Parking the Bus'.

We have spent shitload of cash under Mou, he is the last to point out how much money opponents spend on players. We should focus on improving our team. Another ironic thing is he is only starting to come out and saying that now he knows the board won't do 100m freely without selling anymore while 2 years ago we signed loads like Willian without selling anyone so we basically 'bought' the league as well.

Take it easy mate. We did spent on Costa and Fabregas last year, but at the same time we also did a clever sale in Luiz and Lukaku. I believe what Mourinho refers to 'buying the league' is that club like City who just buy, buy, buy without selling. He is trying to mock Pellegrini over FFP.

How many times has Mou mentioned something like ''without new signings/investments or I can't have'' in the recent 2 weeks? I already lost the count, the pre-summer stop Mourinho is clearly different from the current preseason Mourinho.

Pre-summer stop:

- '' I want to add a striker because we lost our legend, one defender and a midfielder to add some fresh blood to give the guys some competition''

- Openly challenged the main competitors at the Chelsea Player of the year awards show, showing his confidence and probably counting on his signings.

Preseason:

- ''We will do it with the same group, it's a big challenge to do it with no new signings'' (repeat it like 5 times in 2 weeks)

- ''I can't have the Eiffel tower, I can't even have the Vegas one''

- ''Our rivals are buying the title, all of them, It is up to us to try and win [the title] even without the big investment''

Clearly a different Mourinho, the pre-summer stop one and the current Mourinho.

Think we can all agree Mourinho is a smart guy, he knows exactly what the team is missing every time:

2013-14 summer window: Many problems but mainly lacking a striker, chased a striker (rooney) but got none.

result = complaining that he has no strikers, praising PSG stikers, praising Falcao, play Schurrle up top, mocking Etoo's age.

2013-14 winter window: Looking for a CDM who is better than Mikel, got Matic.

2014-15 summer window: Looking for the striker, depth and a main playmaker, got Cesc and Diego, plus depth signings: Remy, DD, Luis.

2015-2016 summer window: Looking for a midfielder, defender and striker, chasing Stones but where is the midfielder?

He is playing mind games with the board but if it works is another question.

He clearly knows we have a big weakness and that is the midfield spot, why would he otherwise play Mikel or Ramires next to Matic in every big or away game, or even in preseason vs PSG? We need someone who is better than those 2 and can play big and small games, otherwise we won't improve and will struggle in big games again.

It wont be the end of the world if Mourinho cant have some players and we end the season trophyless, our team certainly needs players to appease Mourinho's doubts about whats coming next but If I believe what is said above then it will be 07/08 all over again, we must trust the board as much as we trust Mourinho in this case, lets not make past mistake again, if José needs players, he must have them, after all, its also down to him all the profit we are making with our sells.If we are paying a stadium, then we"ll be doing an Arsenal at worst, but I cannot see that happen under mourinho.

It's funny how people overreact and scrutinize every word that comes out of Mourinho. We all know he talks a lot and half of the things he says are BS and sometimes even self-serving but despite that, people still get pissed at him and think he truly believes everything he says. Thought people should know enough about him by now not to take him too seriously.
