Eden Hazard

Yes he let the team down because he is now banned for at least 3 matches when our squad is very thin and in need of him. Our form will suffer in the next few matches because he kicked that ball from under that full grown adult. He let the team down.

If he is banned, the people deciding to ban him should be fired.

Also, his red card should be revoked.

And who's fault is that? The kid is a twat, but he is kid, he is not a professorial footballer, he is not the one who is supposed to show professionalism and higher morals.

Yes, it was unprofessional because he has let his team down when they need him badly.

He's 17... Not a kid in my book. Eden had no intention of hurting the "kid" and clearly he kicks the ball. Hazard didn't deserve the red card and definitely doesn't deserve the 3+ ban he's going to get. I hope the FA get's some sense and overturns the red card but highly doubt it.

Well you can say that all you want but it won't happen. Whether or not the red card is right is a matter of opinion and completely irrelevant. What matters is that the team will suffer in his absence.

Fine, the full grown adult. What does that change?

I don't care. This was all hollywood. The kid did a terrific performance. 20000 sheep shaggers and that cunt Williams winding up the ref to draw red. He showed passion and meant to do nothing wrong. Hats off.

@CHOULO19

With respect, you make it sound so simple and straightforward.

Hazard's not exactly a vastly experienced footballer. He turned 22 literally last week. This "kids" 17, soon to be 18 according to his twitter. Sure Hazard should've known better but in the heat of the moment, with a few minutes left - and with footage showing us that our players complained to the ref about the ballboys time wasting throughout the game - I really empathize with him. Hazard certainly didn't go out there to kick the boy, he just wanted the ball.

He didn't let the team down, he just wanted to play football and needed the ball for that... I am 100% sure the players won't feel let down, all professional footballers ala Owen have symphathised with Hazard and I'd like to think our players will feel the same. (they certainly will)

I bet thats what the FA will want to do with him

i bet thats what a lot of GENIUSES want to do with him right here. i mean reading the comments some people are writing is hilarious. i mean "he let his team down", really? how by giving a shit about the match and trying to get on with it when most of our players seemed to be sleepwalking thru the match.

Like I said, his age doesn't matter. It was always going to cause controversy when he kicks the ball from under the full grown adult. He will most likely face a lengthy ban. He should have known better.

I hope Eden has a strong character like JT and Ash, because from now on, he will be likely to get booed in every stadium in England.

Sorry, but I actually kind of like this whole 'bad boy' image this club is being portrayed as. Just want Mourinho back to complete the set. The country always needs a scapegoat. We've been the scapegoat for a decade. May as well embrace it. Don't like this whole approach of "OMGZ HE TOUCHED A BOY, AHHH :'( CRY. HE COULDA BEEN KILLED XOXO". How about no. These people are grown men. That guy on the pitch is a MAN. Not a boy, not a baby, a MAN. I'm cringing at the comments which make it sound like Hazard just killed a whole village.

Wow I'm glad the majority of fans, comments I've read, people I've talked too don't hold such a cynical view. You're acting as if Hazard didn't go for the ball.

I don't think he'll be booed for long. I could be wrong, but fans generally respect a guy trying to get on with the game and the guy getting more genuine stick is the ballboy.

He'll get it for a while and then he'll grow as a Premier League player and garner respect for his game. He doesn't elicit the same hatred as the other two players you mentioned because he doesn't have the tabloid shit.

But the media have gone with the story that Hazard kicked the ballboy, and no doubt there will be people who will be brainwashed by the headlines. I wouldn't be surprised if he gets booed by opposing fans.

I hope so, but it'll always be brought up by other fans when talking about Hazard.
