wow... crazy times we are living in. Moment had to come at some point, did not expect it to be this early. Sad it is triggered by such unfortunate events. Irrespective of his alleged ties to Putin was a good owner and key to what the club is now. One of the most decorated clubs in this time.

Sensitive to see it is indeed in the club's best interest. The brand would have become toxic for sponsors, which it needs to be sustainable. will still take a hit financially i would believe.

Can't see the board staying the same tho. Surely marina and others will leave. There will be huge personnel disruptions at the executive level. Really hope for the better.

if the money that would be used to repay the debt really does go into ukraine, it would be a substantial amount and a huge gesture.

He must do one last thing for us and find a good successor

Irrespective of the linkage to Putin from his past, not wanting any loans repaid (sum of £2bn is what the club owns him apparently) and donating money to victims in Ukraine is an absolutely colossal statement. Top man.

I knew in my right mind this was inevitable but this is heartbreaking. We have lost the best owner in the world football . He was rushed to sell and he sold us to biggest bidder. But this new bidder will have to invest if he wants us to become profitable. And he will have to find people who will make the right decisions unlike Marina. 

We won't be anyone's cash cow. We simply cant. We don't have big stadium. We don't have big fanbase.  To get money we need to remain competitive, playing in the CL. Why would anyone pay billions  to own midtable club when he could spend couple hundreds to own midtable club. With bigger stadium. 

However if RA forgave us debt and sold us for couple hundred millions, that is all another story. 

Sad day. We lost the owner who truly loved and cared for the club. That is the loss we will never be able to overcome.

I am sooo devasted and heartbroken that our Roman has to leave Chelsea because the shit English media and government put so much pressure on Roman to sell. What idiots. They forgot how much Roman did for Chelsea and for the City of a London, especially during Coman years d. But they hated him from day one because he is Russian. 

Roman is a true hero for donating the profit to ukrainian people that need it. I will always miss Roman. We will never be the same without him. At least he went away with another CL trophy and now he won every trophy there is to win.
