Xavi has signed a pre-contract agreement with Al Arabi in Qatar. Dan Petrescu, ex Chelsea and now the coach of Al Arabi, confirmed it at a Romanian TV station today.

He said the deal is 99% done. Not 100% because there are also other Qatari clubs interested in him such as Al Sadd who offers him €10m per annum.

But he is confident Xavi will join Al Arabi and said he even talked to Xavi on the phone before he left for Brazil.

€6m will pay the Qatari side for him.
