CHOULO19 24,332
If RVP really wants to leave then we would be mad not to bid. Funny that only a few months ago he was talking about finishing his career at UnitedHe's 30 now! He has one or two seasons in him at best. yuvala 2,167
He's 30 now! He has one or two seasons in him at best. Wouldn't you take him for 1-2 seasons untill a world class striker is available? Dont really see us getting anyone.. Maybe things will change in the summer but honestly there's no one availble.Anyways this is just a stupid rumor, he's not available either. Villa went for 2m!! And second, our game does not suite him in the slightest.

BlueLion. 21,491
An ideal January would see us cover at least two of the following three necessities:A left-back - stop fucking about playing people out of position, get Ivan in the centre, Dave on the right, and bring in Coentrao on loan (a touted move) or even spend big money on Baines or Shaw. We need a left-back, and fast.A central midfielder - Matic, Schneiderlin, Alonso, de Rossi, Witsel... I don't care who it is; our current four options - Lamps, Ess, Mikel, Rambo - aren't good enough for the pivot positions in any of the combinations we've tried. Having someone like those players mentioned could help get the best out of our current midfielders.A striker - Falcao, Lewandowski, Martinez, Rooney, Benteke. Anyone. Please. If we want to win the title we need to address our deficiencies ASAP. kellzfresh and Mufassir08

Jose seems more bothered about a striker at the moment and we have a fine one on loan. Benteke hasn't scored since September so why he's in the list I don't know. I'd go so far as wanting a midfielder in but this mess won't be solved until summer and short-term fixes don't work. The Skipper
Strike 7,854
^there is a left back at the club who is left-footed, and has not been terrible this season. Ryan Bertrand Reddish-Blue, The Skipper, Mufassir08 and 1 other

bushman 2,043
This thread is my favorite, by far. If I were Roman, I´d start all over again, just like before. Spend 200m if possible & the PL title is at Stamford Bridge. Leif

BlueLyon 9,359
Get Pogba in january and then Mangala, LB and Lukaku back in summer.Despite Pogba wont all fix our midfield issues imediately due inexperience, he will improve it and he is just too good to be missed. One of best CMs of future.
Spike 12,049
MVG was never the solution for our midfield problem so early. Needs to improve a lot.We don't know that. We can't know that. His injury has created many what if scenarios. It's unfair on him to say that he wouldn't have improved enough to be a started by now, if it weren't for his injury. It's unfair on him to say that he wouldn't have improved enough to be a started by now, if it weren't for his injury. His injury decreased our depth in midfield. I remember when we signed MVG, there were reports that Chelsea's scouts liked his raw ability..and that he was a project..Chelsea needed a classy midfielder like Strootman (at Roma at the moment)..rather than MVG right now. ChelseasMessiah 304
The dimwit did buy, but it isn't the dimwit's fault that that particular player injured his knee.He bought a young, inexperienced player to keep Lampard's ego tamed. He's playing the price for that. Our midfield has been a disaster.
