The club's only consideration in terms of playing personnel is their fit and their cost and the only consideration for players is their paycheque and the chance to fight for trophies. Everything else is PR. Each and every player who has ever played for any football club anywhere in the world would do what's best for (his) business, whether that's talking up his teammates or club and it matters fuck all who they support on a personal level.Supporters should stop hanging on to the words clubs and players spout on social media or in front of cameras - that's just a set up for disappointment.
