That could be hard with the season beginning before the window closes, unless Tammy gives it up.

I expect Tammy’s departure to be announced within a few days. Big Rom will not be available on Saturday so club has time to wait with confirming his squad number.

If that’s the case I can’t imagine Haaland would be demanding more than that in wages. So that must mean he told us he wanted to wait until next summer to survey his options and we couldn’t afford to wait ourselves.

The same article from The Athletic also claimed that Dortmund refused to enter negotiation over Haaland, especially after selling Sancho, and Haaland himself as well as Raiola didn't push for the move either. It supposedly took the club until mid-July to give up on chasing after Haaland.

Not sure why we have fans that are not happy with him when so many greats from the club are jazzed about the signing?

he was not my first (Mbappe) or 2nd (Håland) choice, BUT he is my 3rd IF we were going to spend big

I expect big things

rather have him than not have him as the first two did not (yet) work out

I still say we should go ALL OUT for Mbappe now or next summer

here are the only players I rate or soon rate at £70m or more (some will soon be off due to age) AND would love to see on Chels IF they came at a fair price (which for some/most will NEVER happen and many are too old or soon will be, to buy for big quid)

(so many are impossible, the 16 (yes that is it) bold ARE potentially doable, 10 in bold RED are my actual targets at this level of cost

these are sorted by T-Markt value, NOT my person rating, thus the huge gaps in terms of bolds and bold reds

Kylian Mbappé
Erling Haaland
Harry Kane  (will NEVER happen but is worth £70m or more, which is the parameters)
Jadon Sancho
Mohamed Salah  (soon off due to age)
Kevin De Bruyne    (soon off due to age)
Neymar    (soon off due to age)
Frenkie de Jong
Bruno Fernandes   (cunt but worth £70m for sure)
Joshua Kimmich (pipe dream, soon renews)
Marcus Rashford
Heung-min Son  (soon off due to age)
Pedri   (2nd biggest pipe dream of the non recently transferred)
João Félix
Phil Foden
Lautaro Martinez
Marcos Llorente
Matthijs de Ligt
Trent Alexander-Arnold   (worth £70m, but pass)
Rúben Dias
Marquinhos
Alphonso Davies
Declan Rice (no more than £70m in my book, so not so likely)
Rodri
Federico Chiesa    (literally the only REMOTELY available winger who interests me, unless you count Mbappe as a winger)
Sergej Milinković-Savić
Serge Gnabry
Leon Goretzka (only on the £70m list IF he renews, which it looks like he might, which then also makes him impossible, if he refuses he is doable and far less that £70m, so thsi is a complicated one)
Jan Oblak   (by far the best remotely available keeper)
Bukayo Saka
Fede Valverde
Gianluigi Donnarumma
Nicolò Barella   (my number one MF'er want next summer)
Andrew Robertson
Jack Grealish
Achraf Hakimi   (missing out on him means there are NO actual right fullbacks/ wingacks who are good enough out there (unless Ridle Baku blows up thsi season), thus the conversion project players like Adama Traore or Silas (badly injured now) come to the fore)
Alessandro Bastoni  (my number one CB want)
José María Giménez
Jude Bellingham  (eventually will be worth £70m, its just a matter of time)
Richarlison
Youri Tielemans
Theo Hernández (£70m is a bit high but he is the 3rd best LB on the planet and the only great one remotely available, I deffo think £50-60m slammed on the table would take him)
Dominic Calvert-Lewin

two who would not take £70m but probably close

Aymeric Laporte
Lucas Hernández (4th or 5th best LB depending on where you place Chilwell, and after the top 5, the drop is HUGE, especially with Spinazzola now fucked with a blown Achilles and Nuno Mendes not yet proven, after that 7 (now 6 with theunjury) ZERO interest me atm, and Spinazzolla is likely done as a top player, unfortunately, plus neither Nunes or Spinazzola would cost £70m, even if Spinazzola was never injured, as he turns 29yo in March)

lastly,

Eduardo Camavinga (likely will be at £70m soon as well, but not yet, which is why he is doable IMHO)
