Manchester City won the League Cup and have already qualified for the CL through the PL so the extra Europa League place goes to the team that finishes sixth.

Would be funny if United got sixth, they'd have to begin their UEL qualifiers sometime near the end of July so their pre-season would be cut short and I think they've already made plans for a tour in the USA which they'd have to ditch if that were the case.

Only FA Cup runners-up get a Europa League place if the winner has already qualified, in the League Cup it goes to the 6th placed team in the PL.
