NikkiCFC 8,529
Yeah, if some crazy shit with goal difference doesn't happen all Leicester has to do to finish over Utd is to win at home against them. Chilwell and Maddison should be back so it's quite possible. They can throw Spurs game and put all in that one (not happening). But still Mourinho should win for us and themselves. The problem with that ideal scenario is IF Leicester win at Spurs - plus Man United beat West Ham - and we lose at Liverpool, then both Leicester and United will be on 65 points and we will have 63 points. Considering they have way better GD than us, what's stopping them from just playing for a draw? Why would they take any risk when a draw is enough for both qualify for the Champions League? To alleviate some pressure off us, one of Leicester or United must drop points against Spurs or West Ham respectively. If either one do, then we can afford a defeat at Anfield and still finish in the Top 4 by beating Wolves. Otherwise, we must get at least 4 points from Liverpool and Wolves. Pizy 19,381
Rodgers apparently confirmed that Maddison and Chilwell are done for their last two matches. So if we can get a Mourinho special and United beat them on the final day we'll be good. Johnnyeye and killer1257
Jase 43,479
No chance this will happen but I just noticed that IF Leicester and United lose to Spurs and West Ham, it would guarantee us a Top 4 spot before we even kick off at Anfield. I favour Spuds to at least draw they hate Leicester (the 1 in a million season that stole (lolol so the spuds army says) t'heir 'EPL trophy) <<< and it was US who killed them off!!!! Popular Post! Pizy 19,381 Posted July 16, 2020 Popular Post! Share Posted July 16, 2020 Really kinda fucking sad that in no scenario we have been discussing as possible do any of us give us a chance against Liverpool. We're basically all just inking that in as a loss. Which is fair considering our defense. We need our lads to summon the spirit of Napoli/Barca/Bayern 2012 for these last two matches. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 Strike, killer1257, Johnnyeye and 2 others

Jype 6,398
I'm doing my bit to help the cause, just stuck 100€ on Leicester to win on Sunday. Maybe that will jinx it like my bets usually do.

But yeah, more often than not, they have defended like clowns. Johnnyeye

I find the current form of both teams rather interesting. First half of the season, you had us regularly picking up points against the bread and butter of the league, especially in away games. United fared well against top 6 teams but flopped against lesser opposition. Now fast forward to the restart, we have won a game against City, at home, beat Leicester away, and you have United more consistent against the lesser sides. Interesting that our next 2 games are against top 6.
