All makes sense..slip last year that saved our sanity..the mistake year we last won the league..own goal

assist for Henry to score vs pool, assist for suarez to kick england out of the wc, assist for Utd last summer etc the list goes on... More a parasite, a plague than a player, no wonder English media have chosen him as their darling. Regarding Liverpool FC, Steven Gerrard, English media and English national team one word springs to my mind: failure.

the hypes died down over him going though if they win the fa cup.. win it for Stevie G urgh.

Thing is last year they said how be nice for them to win the league for Hillsborough.this year win the FA Cup for Stevie G..Bradford when they were in it and their anniversary didn't get a mention .not that it often does anyway

One of the good consequences of Jose 'campaign' rants and his appearance on Goals. The FA really had no choice or they would have been proven to be hypocrites.

True point.

Noticed how he also pushed for goal line technology and now we have it.

Next is video technology help for refs.

That's what he's been talking as of late.

Anyone heard what Rodgers said trying to defend Skrtel? What a fucking hypocrite......This was the fucker who came out and said Costa stamped on him and now is trying to defend what Skrtel did....

Fucking hate Rodgers.

Yes but tbf what did you expect to say about his player? That he is a cunt?

I justify the manager's comments just like I justify Jose's comments. It's the FA's and media's objectiveness that must be judged.

Bunch of dinosaurs in charge, and not the awesome kind.

So the grand strategy for improving quality of the national side, is to place more restrictions on PL clubs and potentially weaken them. Not improving the quality of coaching.

And how about this for quotes.

“This is the second time in three years there’s been no Premier League side in the last eight of the Champions League, so it’s not working that well,”

O really? Which club out of Chelsea, Liverpool, City and Arsenal had the most English representation? Which was the first to exit?

It would be great to have good local talent in any side, but making blind decisions like these is effing stupid. The first move should be to get rid of these dinosaurs

Dyke's strategy makes no sense for English clubs.

I would love to see a rule whereby every EPL club has to use ONE Under-23 English player for all EPL matches. That way, at least one youngster from each club has a chance of making it..

How the change in homegrown rules will affect us

"Premier League leaders Chelsea have 15 players in their current squad classed as non-home grown:

Cesar Azpilicueta, Petr Cech, Diego Costa, Thibaut Courtois, Juan Cuadrado, Didier Drogba, Eden Hazard, Branislav Ivanovic, Filipe Luis, Nemanja Matic, John Obi Mikel, Oscar, Ramires, Loic Remy and Willian.

Furthermore Cesc Fabregas would no longer be classed as a home-grown player under the new rules.

That means Jose Mourinho would need to axe three of the overseas stars listed above if the rules were in place today."

There is no way the premier league will agree to his proposal...just imagine English clubs trying to perform in the UCL?

Everyone would get knocked out in the group stages like Liverpool
