Cosmin 2,484
Where is it being said Rooney wants to leave?http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/4994464/Wayne-Rooney-wants-to-quit-Old-Trafford-says-Mike-Phelan.htmlhttp://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2323361/Wayne-Rooney-wants-leave-Manchester-United--Sir-Alex-Ferguson.htmlhttp://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/2013/05/13/rooney-ferguson-relationship-pictures_n_3265163.htmlRealiable or not, these are the facts that we based our discussion on. Ollie 4,400
There's no doubt Rooney asked to leave. Ferguson would never make something like that up. Because it wasn't a written request, just a verbal one, no one can prove it but there's no doubt whatsoever that he asked to leave. Whatever happens, those fans can't trust him. Laylabelle 9,534
The whole he's not for a sale thing just seems a way to take the attention away.Been said by managers so many times in the past it doesnt mean anything. He'll probably stay and the fans will love him again then a few years back to wanting to leave

Also Pedro is important for them i think.Totally agree. Pedro is the player who provides the width on the right or left (can play both very well as hes ambidextrous, can use his right as well as his left) for Barca, hes vital to them as he can stretch teams that are sitting compact. Spike 12,049
I don't think Rooney would join Barcelona, maybe as a last escape from ManUtd but his preference would be to stay in England. Just imagine him trying to learn a second language. Nobody would understand that thick scouse accent.

I prefer Rooney to Cavani and he's English (helps with the regs)... Rooney can either play up front or cover for Mata - he's such a versatile player and has a great work ethic on the pitch... We need someone like him in the middle of the park, perfect transition guy from Defence to Attack.Anything under 30 million is a bargain!!!Him and DeRossi = most awesome

But yea, he's a gifted player who's versatility could really come in handy in case of injuries/suspensions.
