Leif 6,006
So people forget Napoli's president coming out and categorically stating that Chelsea FC phoned him? This 'there's been no contact' is nonsense.
Rmpr 8,977
So people forget Napoli's president coming out and categorically stating that Chelsea FC phoned him? This 'there's been no contact' is nonsense. When did Napoli's president become a reliable source? There is no proof that we actually did or did not enquire about Cavani, maybe he was only doing that to actually receive an official bid from ManCity or Real Madrid.Nonsense is to actually believe in any of those rumours, no matter from whom they come from! edenhazard17 281
So, the last Cavani interview which said about nothing concrete, nothing official might be true then. Maybe all this time no one ever made a bid.

BlueLion. 21,491
This was published on the BBC 23 minutes ago: Manchester City refuse to meet Edinson Cavani asking price Manchester City have refused to meet the 63m euros (£53.6m) buyout clause for Edinson Cavani, Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis has revealed. Cavani, 26, scored 38 goals for the Champions League qualifiers last season, form which has seen him also linked to Real Madrid and Chelsea. Key quote: "He added Napoli had "never received a call" from Chelsea about the player, with Uefa's Financial Fair Play regulations cited as a barrier to any deal as the loss-reducing rules are "conditioning everybody" to not spend large sums on transfers." CHOULO19 24,332
"Chelsea never made contact with me. I have always heard rumors indirectly." - ADL.So all these pages and fake rumours about bids, on a player we haven't even shown any interest in I reckon we will be looking at a cheaper option, as we also try to strengthen the defence and midfield.LMAO Fuck you Tancredi Palmeri :lol2: The Skipper

bushman 2,043
Well, Cavani here & ...nowhere.Most of folks think, he is way overpriced. If Ferda can score 12-15 goals, Lukaku the same, BA around 10, then why bother with Cavani ? mediator
nadavTKL 1,787
Havent seen this quote from De Laurentiis till now:"At this time, Real Madrid are the only club who have made a firm offer for Cavani"http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/12040/8787088/Manchester-City-refuse-to-meet-54m-buy-out-clause-for-Edinson-Cavani-say-NapoliBut it sounds like they havent triggered the clause... NiclasCFC 2,582
Okay guys let me sum it all up for ya. Cavani hasn't decided yet where he wants to play next season. He will be looking for money which probably all the teams will give him if he agrees to join them. He has 3 options: Chelsea, City or Real. Now, at the moment he prefers Real Madrid because it's the biggest team he knows but he is not sure yet. The only thing that can make Cavani join another club is a manager that will persuade him into the team, lucky us we have Mourinho. Mourihno's persuasion is stronger than Pelegrini's and surely is stronger than Madrid's attraction towards Edison. Cavani will join Chelsea.Does he still have those 3 options mate?
