With Torres, Kaka, Ronaldo and Messi etc you can justify these sorts of wages because they sell shirts. Torres is the highest shirt seller at the club, despite being so woeful. Cavani doesn't have that marketability. It doesn't seem anyone will really offer Napoli 63 million euros, so it looks like he'll likely stay. I thought we were offering 58million euros but it seems we're not even prepared to offer that much.

That Torres transfer really fucked us over. Funny how with Torres and Shevchenko we broke the club record and both turned out to be bums.
