Ramires

When he split Milan open, was one on one with keeper, and chose to play Lukaku in instead I clapped.

Absolute selfless player and great lad. I hope he has a magical season, and gets to play in the world cup at home next year.

Regarding that chance, it's nice to see Ramires being selfless there but given that it was a great opportunity not to be missed and knowing that he can score himself, he should have netted it rather than trying to assist someone else. Missing chances like this could come and haunt us back in competitive matches.

Was everything Mikel is not ,bite ,energy, guts, stamina, progressive, committed, fast, plays as high up the pitch as he can and wins posession so we can counter, but is quick enough to be back in position to defend and passing was good ,always good to be proven right on a player and happy to have Jose back making the right calls .

I am afraid your sitting midfielder who holds hands with JT & co filling gaps of his own making may well be thing of the past under Jose Choulou everyone is a box to box player ,no passengers on this bus :D:D:D

Except he didn't play box-to-box today because he was playing next to Lampard but instead stayed deep to get the ball from the CBs and fill "gaps of his own making" as is evident by the action areas map:

You can't have all your midfielders playing box-to-box  That's not how football works.

:D:D:D:D Not your maps again Choulo ,have you got one that shows Mikel's backwards passes?

Aggression, energy, stamina, tackling ,pressing and does that map show Rammys ball over the top for Torres for the penalty, something Mikel has never done in seven years from that role ,hence not even on the bench.

Well none of that really has anything to do with the point we were discussing (not that I agree with any of it). You said that Ramires can still play as a box-to-box next to Lampard who makes forward runs which nonsense as is evident by the maps above.
