I'm sure you get used to it in time, but I also imagine what must be like for professional players, and then professional players at an elite club like Chelsea. It can't be a walk in the park, which is also a factor when we sign young players--physique being another. I have for high level basketball. Never thought about it or impacted me at all, whether it was 0 people watching or a bigger crowd. Depends on the individual and how you process things. robsblubot

Especially when Chelsea has had one of strongest away support in the country. Hopefully they'll come to their senses and reverse this decision. Hmm haven't seen Bournemouth play this season, but they seem to be struggling... might be the time to go for the win yeah. 27 minutes ago, Muzchap said: God I miss Abramovich... Same, and I think there is a fairly obvious explanation for that: the previous owner had no ulterior motive to run the club other than the fact he wanted to; it was a hobby to him. The feeling is that it is very much a business for the current ownership. We hope that at some point this business is run well enough which would then turn into competitive advantage, but it does not look that way atm. Pizy 18,917
If we don’t win this tomorrow I’m going to be taking a nice, multiple months long break from all things football. Not watching any matches, muting the hundreds of football related people I follow on Twitter etc. Can’t stomach another horror season like last one. With the talent we have in this squad it’ll be even more embarrassing than last season if we finish midtable again. If we fail to beat West Ham, Forest, and Bournemouth within our first 5 matches then we’re heading for another season like that. I don't see a whole lot of quality in the squad neither do I see many of our starting XI starting for other top clubs in the PL, for ex. I think this squad is far weaker than last season's and that if a good manager like Poch had been at the helm then, things might have been a little better... not by much because I think the issues were mostly down to club disarray as opposed to just football. The only hope I have this season is Pochettino, and the fact he is a good manager. I don't think the squad is anywhere near good enough. We will need a lot of luck for some of the bets to pan out and quite good business in the coming couple/few windows to get back to competing again. Don't think the game tomorrow should affect things one way or another, but yeah a downward spiral would be really bad on a young set of players. October/December fixtures look bloody horrible..then again it's hard to look at the ones who aren't 'top' and think that's a win. Agree. Plug in one Mudryk at city and he would be scoring for fun there. But give Pep a squad full of 20 nudryks, maduekes, lavias, Caicedos and nothing else and they would be relegated This squad we have is full of potential and talent but as of right now little quality and experience . That is why even with an arguably better manager we will have a similarly frustrating season as last. Can easily see us have 3 more midtable finishes ahead until the overall leadership, culture and strategy at this club changes. Best players in the world at their positions? Are you a FM Manager by any chance? Apart from Sterling, which 'attacker' at the club would start for a top 4 side right now? Which top 4 side is putting Sanchez as their starting GK? It's not about getting it right or wrong, it's about having an unhealthy balance of youngsters in the team and expecting them to go out there each week and win immediately. Some of these players may not come good until they've played 2 seasons here and by that time, they will probably be keen on jumping ship to another side that can offer them immediate path to success. The point is Pep would never agree to sign 20 youngsters and babysit them for 2-3 seasons hoping they become class. When Pep wanted a GK, he got Ederson, when he needed a CB to lead the defence, he got Dias and now Gvardiol, when he needed a class midfielder, he got De Bruyne, Silva, Rodri and then topped it all off with the alient up front and his Argentinian sidekick in Alvarez. Feel like Poch didn't have a strong enough voice to tell the board that he needed some experience in midfield/attack to help push these youngsters and get some immediate wins. The lack of leadership in the starting 11 is harming us big time at the moment. My only hope is James makes a return soon, and we can build a foundation at the back with him and Enzo, and power through the fixtures until Nkunku returns. I'm down to the idea that most City players are interchangeable, but dunno; maybe I'm reading that Mudryk is as good as Grealish, the one-job guy. 🙂 even though that's a very low bar in my book, I don't think he is tho. I'm far from a Grealish fan, but don't think Mudryk is anywhere near that level atm. Fodden would be freaking Eden for us right now... Haaland... come on. 😆 Next folks will say Mbappe wouldn't improve the squad. I just don't see this quality folks see. I see good players: some still way early in their career, some physically underdeveloped, for ex, and likely some who will never be good enough. I just don't see that many players who would be sure starters, as in give a competitive advantage, over the players other big clubs have. Best players in every position? who exactly? I count one (Enzo), maybe two (James when fit).
