Chelsea Transfers

Milan hasn't received any official offer from Chelsea for Rafael Leao. Milan unlikely to sell him since they won't have time to find a replacement. The transfer will only happening if Chelsea decides to pay his €150m release clause.

Leao would come only for 100m£+ so it’s not a story next year maybe

Surely no one would really pay that kind of money for Leao so that has to be just a notional price Milan might fantasize about. Good luck to them if they manage to get even half that but hopefully it won't be from us.

£60m on Anthony Gordon would be the worst transfer in football history. No exaggerating. Really, anything above £40m (becuase he is a huge talent, English, and coming from a desperate club who don’t want to sell) is psychotic.

For £60m a smart scouting team could go to other leagues and identify TWO young talents who could become great players.

Also what is going on with Fofana's height?

He is listed as 1,90 almost everywhere but looks clearly shorter than 1,88 Jonny evans in their pictures. Granted he was under 20 when the picture was taken so may still have grown a bit but hardly 5cm. Probably a case of height inflation to push transfer value... From personal experience, whenever you meet a footballer he is at least 2cm shorter than listed.

I think they get measured in their boots and if they have a haircut like Fofana's then they go from the top of that rather than where his scalp is, then round up. He is probably more like 185-186cm. That said, Southern European teams are particularly bad for this. Remember Kepa was meant to be 6'2" and K2 at one point was measured at 6'5"-6'6"  😂.

As for Fofana, we may be waiting here to see what happens with Kounde. Barca apprantly really struggling to get him registered now. They only have 8 days left.

Tuchel is basically putting his head on the chopping block if we sign Gordon for silly money. If he works out and kills it Tuchel will look like a genius. But if  he hand picks this kid and he flops after we spend £60m on him that’s sackable.

It is amazing we are not on this list.

Testament to how good our board was under RA. We spent, we over-spent. Sometimes on good talent, sometimes on dross, but still made sure not to give uefa anymore ammunition to shoot at us.

This regime seems to be run by clowns at the moment. The way they are rumored to be overpaying for players in crazy. Literally paying 3x the actual amount. It would all be acceptable if atleast the players coming in were going to improve us.

We are fucking overpaying for absolute dross.

One of the reasons i would not mind us sacking him right now. Buying gordon and auba for 85m combined, we will be (are) the laughing stock. The new manager will need to use this dross for a season before discarding them through the loan system and us cribbing about our bloated squad.

Unbelievable how shit we look on and off the field.

Nah, think Tuchel deserves to see out this whole season. You don’t give a manager hundreds of millions of pounds worth of transfers in the summer and then sack him at any point during that same season. He has earned the right to stay for this season.

Let’s see if his biggest calls (Auba, Gordon, Fofana) work out before shitting on him.
