Pizy 19,320
In the one hand, Auba has looked pretty decent in a Barca side that provides him service. On the other, he looks shocking at the end of his Arse spell. If this was a season long loan it might be interesting. Hopefully we exhaust all other avenues first, though. Special Juan 28,827
Cucurella side is done, hence his agent replying to Romano on IG. Romano has had the nod and the deal for him to join us is done, just the Colwell deal to finish up. It's like a war of words and Fab is going what he always done and confirming with here we go based on the agent confirming everything. Cucurella is a Chelsea player. whats happening 1,667
i dont think aubameyang is a bad signing to be our first player off the bench. can play the winger role too.

Wasn’t the reason he struggled at the end for Arse due to Arteta sticking him out wide instead of playing him up top?
Mário César 1,502
auba was very decent in barcelona if we take 1 year loand and stay with broja it is don't bad at all and next year we will buy a world class striker
LAM09 7,098
We're spending big everywhere but where it truly matters. If Werner leaves, we need to sign a CF or WF/CF of note. Taking garbage off Barca is the last thing we should be doing.

Tomo 21,754
He won't be anywhere near as bad as you know who but Auba would be another case of just looking at the top line without factoring in stylistical fit. All in & best CF that's obtainable - Your fellow countryman, Osimhen. Two names I've been mentioning for a number of months, or years in the case of the latter. For now it's effectively £25-30m + Colwill which seems pretty reasonable comparing where both players are currently at. I also believe he is being bought with the same view to Reece - he's predominantly a wing back that can play on the side in a back 3. Height isn't ideal but it's not the be all as he proved last season playing a number of times in the back 3 at Brighton. He was excellent against us at the Bridge in that position. His defensive awareness and positioning seem to be very good which will help him to some degree to mask any height issues. But the predominant position in my opinion will be left wing back competing with Chilwell. Chilwell hasn't played a huge amount in pre season and depending on when moves go through, I'd actually be more confident Alonso starting over Chilwell against Everton. It could take him quite a while to fully recover from his injury and regain his confidence. With that being said, would we rather Alonso or Emerson for a sustained period in that position? If we're talking the best left back/wing backs on the market who are realistically attainable, Cucurella has to be high on that list this summer, hence why he was City's main target in the area. It's clear that Tuchel has his eye on some players with Premier League experience which does unfortunately bump the price up a bit but also should give us confidence of a player that has performed very well last season in the league for a possession based side. I think it's a good signing, and an intelligent one that really covers us if Chilwell is struggling.
