The deadwood are called deadwood for a reason. Imo, they'll mostly end up on loan or rotting here for the rest of their contracts.

Barkley, Bats, Baka, Rahman etc, are all virtually unsellable due to their wages and ability levels. Best we can hope for is that they get loans where they're wages are covered or we can agree some sort of release deal with them. However, they'll be right down the pecking order in regard to priorities.

People like: Kepa and Sarr are also difficult.

Players like RLC and Ziyech will command some fees but again, it'll depend what the player wants.

Good points, but I was talking in general how posters here mention how this squad doesn’t fit what Tuchel wants and there seem to no to little indication what player he wants in and out are.

Honestly it's become rather pathetic and tedious how one day it looks as if we are close to securing a signing, when only the next day we see reports that completely contradict the initial one and that we haven't even fucking approached the player yet.

Fully expecting tomorrow there to be reports that we never actually made a bid for Sterling yet.

We won't really know for a while takes years to build a team around a particular manager. Unless u have an endless pit of money like man city

I understand the frustration but people do need to be patient this year. It is fairly obvious there has been a significant shift in transfer policy from a month ago. From all accounts Kounde was nearly a done deal and now that has gone very quiet with Granny going. I would argue Dembele is another one; wouldn't be surprised if there was some sort of outline with him and now TB has reeled that in a little which has left him short of options.

As a result, we are way behind. I would argue this is a good thing as I was not sold on either Kounde or Dembele. De Ligt for me would be a great signing but that deal is going to be very complicated as he is Juve's best CB and they are weak there if he goes. On top of that Juve know we're desperate. People can talk about previous dealings with Juve but MDL only has the two years left so they've got a weaker hand. Imo, it will probably depend on whether they can find another CB to replace him. If not TB will have to decide whether to pay the buyout.

Elsewhere we also have to have a look at the returning boys' from loan properly. For me, seeing us shift Gallagher, Colwill etc only for them to rip it up elsewhere would be worse tha missing out on a signing or two.

In an ideal world, obviously we would have our business done by pre-season but that simply isn't possible this year.

Sterling bid agreed. Small details to clear about bonusses before completing the deal. CFC submitted €30m bid for Nathan Ake. CFC/ MCFC Talks for Zinchenko

Her reputation is now tarnished after the Dembele ordeal.

Wtf is this obsession with tiny cbs. First kounde now ake.  both are inadequate

esp ake who is still the exact same player we rightly gave away for peanuts years ago

I guess for playing ball from the back? Pep also got him as well for that. But he got far better players in first spot. Ake is just a replacement to Andreas. Andrea ain't WC but was a good sub option to have for depth.

That being said I think there's better target out there.

Centre half's aint just there to head the ball away any more, u don't have to be tall to be a good defender or strong depends on what you want I guess.

If Juve want us to pay the full release clause for De Ligt then they can go fuck themselves.

I'd honestly rather take Srinkiar. I think he is a better defender. In fact the lad is a monster.
