Raphinha out, dembele out Gnabry probably out

so... what you suggest?

these we have to wait for next year

Christopher Nkunku    (2023. due to release clause)
Federico Chiesa  (next summer, due to injury)
Florian Wirtz   (next summer, due to injury)

which leaves (realistic, so no Neymar or CR7 or Saka or perhaps, if he rebounds, Sancho, who then is NOT realistic)

Rafael Leão
Moussa Diaby
Arnaut Danjuma
Mikel Oyarzabal
Jarrod Bowen

then

Carlos Soler (more of a MFer)
Paulo Dybala
Pedro Neto
Domenico Berardi
Kamaldeen Sulemana (stealth next Mane?)
Rayan Cherki
Dominik Szoboszlai  (more of a MFer)
Charles De Ketelaere (more of a MFer)

Mikel oyarzabal would be a real deal here....can't understand why no top club has move for him yet...

yes, he and Carlos Soler are two of the bigger mysteries as to why they have not moved to bigger clubs

same for Sergej Milinković-Savić (and he turns 28yo in February, so this is his last true big window, as next year you will only get him for one full under 30yo season)

Pau Torres, if he doesn't move this summer, will soon join that group

Same for Mikel Merino Real Sociedad, a superb MFer

and

Wilfred Ndidi
Fabián Ruiz
Youri Tielemans
Lorenzo Pellegrini
Rúben Neves
José Gayà
Wilfried Zaha  (too late now, he turns 30yo in 4 months, he shit away his career at Palace)
Domenico Berardi
Houssem Aouar

Seriously what makes Raphinha better than Jarrod Bowen?

Raphinha is just a more exotic name and as a skillful Brazilian will always get more attention.

If Bowen was at a small club like Burnley or Bournemouth I’m sure we’d try for him. But WH are a side that has the ambition to be a top club so will be impossible to deal with.

I'm 100% sure he'd be happy going the 'Chalobah route' and start out as a backup to one of Ake/Kimpembe at LCB but if Tuchel insists on buying two senior players for his position he won't even be a backup but rather the last straw.

Another possibility. Us going for Ake has prompted Colwill wanting to leave. To which we've responded by going after an additional CB (Kimpembe) to replace Colwill. Going after all 3 makes no sense to me unless something has happened with Colwill that has forced it. If this is true then it's pretty disappointing from the clubs side that its an average player like Ake that will cost us a future top player. Its disappointing from Colwill's side that its the signing of Nathan Ake of all players that has him spooked into leaving. And it disappointing for the fans because we all know what's going to happen down the line. No one wins really, except the player.

This generation of players, they want everything now and aren't prepared to wait around or fight for their place, even if they've been at the club since they were 8. I call it 'The Sancho Effect' because all of this basically started with him. Broja will probably be the next gone, and then Harvey Vale next season. I can't see where he's going to get the minutes to want to sign a new deal.

Hope I'm wrong though!

I suppose Barcelona making a statement regarding that.

We will see wether their scouts and coaches are right or not in a bit, but the fact they went all-in for him is also information.

Raphinha has also done well for Brazil so far and got a few caps already.

Yes, please! We already signed one established attacker in Sterling.

Please take a chance on someone who we can groom to become spectacular.

We were linked to him months ago. Wonder what happened.
