Bid 100 million + Tammy and see what they say

100 million is not that much of a difference from what they will receive next year when Haaland's release clause, is it?

Also makes no sense for them to accept 100 million + Abraham when they can go get another a striker for a cheaper price (e.g. Andre Silva) than what we value Abraham if they receive 150 million+.

How did we get into a situation with so many of our defenders are left with only 1-2 years on their contract!?

Tbf the last 18 months before Tuchel came in people were glad we were letting Rudiger and Christensens contracts run down as they “weren’t good enough” 😂

Lampard was a horrid defensive manager TBF

he showed it twice

at both Derby and with us

Rüdiger would be a big loss, especially as we do not seem to be lining up any concrete CB moves. It appears those have been postponed to after Thiago Silva leaves but I think we could cope even with both leaving. There are so many decent CBs around and TT has shown he can get the best out of pretty much any CB. Only zouma has not really improved but that is probably more down to his own limitations.

Difficult to get Rudiger and Christensen to sign extensions when they weren't regularly playing earlier in the season.

I think after the Euro's they'll both sign new long term contracts. Even that article on Rudiger confirms that he has told Chelsea he won't negotiate anything until after the Euros so I'm not sure why it's being made a big deal.

Azpi, I'm also not concerned with, he'll sign a year or two extension. I could very much see Azpi staying and retiring at the club unless he wanted to go back and play at Osasuna for a season or two.

Never thought Dortmund would accept it, just something to see where we stand. I'm personally under the assumption/belief Dortmund would want Tammy over Silva.

Even before Lampard though people said the same under Sarri re Rudiger and Christensen (particularly Andreas).

It just shows though, someone who is able to restore the confidence of someone and coach them in a way Frank couldn’t was all the difference.

Theres also no doubt some of Christensen’s games under Sarri, as little as they were compared to what people might think, weren’t always as bad as mentioned. Some were but some weren’t, playing such a key position, such as CB and not playing regularly is always going to be a struggle.

all that is fine, but Lampard was still a shit defensive manager

this season 100% proved it

he has a long way to go to get up to an elite manager level

insanely great player, one of the 10 greatest AMF's in football history

maybe top 5

but not impressed with him as a manager

he served his purpose for us by giving the youth a chance

for that I am grateful

Don’t know about that. I mean Andre Silva has pretty good pedigree and people forget that seeing as he had that quick break through at Porto then struggled/didn’t play at Milan. He is a fully fledged Portuguese international (39 games 16 goals for them) and has scored 56 goals in his last 3 seasons in Germany and Spain.

His all round game is much better than Tammy’s also and I think that for 35m he would be a logical buy for Dortmund if they sell Haaland (or even if they don’t this season maybe next season?), they will know much more about him seeing as he has been playing in Germany for 2 seasons now at a team thats been rivalling them for European places.

Tammy is a decent player but he’s not at the same level I don’t think. Fair that Silva has been playing regularly this season and Tammy hasn’t, although Tammy still got 12 or 13 goals this season in limited games. Still, I don’t think Dortmund will be that keen on him. They have also said they would prefer cash upfront no exchanges also.

Maybe it's time to give Billy Gilmour a serious look in to the first team. 🤷‍♂️

But he's more of a replacement for Jorgi and it's Kovacic who I want ousted from the side first.

Jorgi has his flaws but I can at least see what he does for team. I am completely blind to what Kovacic is supposed to bring. The absolute definition of a nothing kind of footballer.

What makes you have that assumption/belief?

I think the Bundesliga is a difficult league to judge players on. Even Batshuayi managed to look quality. Far as I'm concerned, most Bundesliga fans don't rate Andre Silva. (penalty merchant as well)

Tammy has proven himself in arguably the most difficult league in the world. People tend to criticise his overall game, but at Dortmund he would be at the focal point of so many creative outlets. You just have to look at Haaland's metrics and see how little involved he needs to be in the build up. I've always been adamant that when you have Tammy in front of goal, he will likely find the ball in the back of the net. He can only get better and on a team like Dortmund, in a league that provides so much space for attackers, I think he would absolutely flourish. Far more than Silva.

Personal opinion obviously.
