Jase 43,479
It might be worth to test the waters by going for some of City's players. Aguero, De Bruyne, B Silva, Sterling, Sane, Ederson anyone?
Pizy 18,926
I would sacrifice my balls to see De Bruyne back at Chelsea. 😂 If their appeals fail I would bid £100m for him without hesitation. Honestly, though, I can't see anyone but maybe Aguero leaving since he's getting older and will only have a couple more chances in the CL. killer1257 and Strike
King Kante 1,643
Really be annoyed if the Dippers get Werner. He would be perfect for them. We need to pull all the stops out to stop that from happening.

He's like Morata in the sense he creates a lot of chances for himself but misses a good number of them, which is why I wouldn't be so bothered about us missing out on him. I think we need someone reliable to convert the chances we get when Tammy is going through a rough period. He would have less space to exploit in the PL as well especially in Frank's system. Liverpool would be a better fit for sure. I would be more bothered about losing Sancho to United. killer1257

Lets be honest, most Chelsea fans just look at some stats and conclude that he must be the second coming of Ronaldo Nazario. Some Chelsea fans even wanted to have him as a CF, which baffles my mind when he rarely played that position and when he played that, he was rubbish. He still is a very good Second striker though. Bundesliga defending rarely gets even noticed when People Talk about WernerGesendet von meinem SM-G920F mit Tapatalk

Nagelsmann is no stranger to this I think. I have my doubts about him playing CF full time as well, maybe it could work at Liverpool but even then there are no guarantees. Him and Tammy could form a good partnership but I don't think a 2 striker system is in the plans. PL defenders will certainly give him a hard time but I think the lack of space will be his biggest challenge especially if he played CF. killer1257

I believe playing in tight spaces is something Werner is striving to improve on and let's not forget, he's still only 23 years old (turns 24 next month). So, there is still plenty of room for him to grow. And there are slight differences in the leagues, games played, appearances etc but Werner's conversion rate puts him 4th among the notable PL scorers this season: Vardy - 35% Aguero - 34% Ings - 31.25% Werner - 27% Rashford - 23% Salah - 22.5% Abraham - 22% Mane - 23.5% OneMoSalah

I think the conversion rate stat is a bit misleading here. Werner gets a lot more clear cut chances than the other players mentionned. They play a lot of counters in the bundesliga, more space available etc Nagelsmann and his team have taken full advantage of that and Werner is often at the end of those. Just look at how many times he's 1 on 1 with the keeper or the goal is open. killer1257
Pizy 18,926
Does it not seem weird for him to go to Liverpool with Firmino already there? I mean, from their perspective it would be awesome to have that kind of depth, but from his perspective it seems dumb to move to a club where you aren't playing every game. The striker market is going to be pretty damn barren this summer if he indeed does go to Liverpool. There might end up being a whole line of clubs going after Dembele because he'll be one of the only decent options available.

Werner declined joining them last season given he thought he wouldn't start. If he's tempted to join now I'd wager Klopp and his reps told him their plan. You are right about the playing style of teams in the Bundesliga but 1 v 1, more space or not, you still need a striker who puts away chances when they come, who can keep their composure in front of goal etc. If it was easy, every Tom, Dick and Harry would be top of the goalscoring charts. We currently have a main striker who has struggled to convert 1 v 1 chances this season and most other times, failed to put away the easy opportunities inside the box. Goal #1 & #2 in the video above and this below are examples of other kind of goals Werner can score.
Atomiswave 6,117
Alaba again came out and said he sees himself playing elsewhere. 27 and in his prime, wouldnt cost too much eiher. ZaynChelsea 423
Chelsea open talks with Sancho Various German and English papers today reporting Chelsea are in pole position concerning Sancho. Sancho is a childhood Chelsea-fan, London guy and once named Drogba and Lampard as his all-time favourites. Chelsea and Sancho is a match made in heaven. Absolutely buzzing. Styl1994 188
If we do buy Sancho we would to save on a left back and Striker we could get Telles for 20-25m Then for Striker you could get one of Edouard Morelos Malen Watkins For 35m or under. King Kante 1,643
I really do not see why people are not so hot on Werner here. Of course he is a 2nd CF/No.11 and yes he is not Haaland when it comes to finishing. However, he conversion rate is still decent, he is a very hard working player, he is still only 23 and has shown he has the desire to improve season by season and he has a decent buyout for the market. I really do not see how he would not be a great signing for any of the top teams in England unless he does not adapt which is an issue that can cause problems for any signing from aboard. killer1257
