Sounds like this is going to be a very quick turn around. No way we have sacked TT without being close to getting someone else.

Chelsea have asked Brighton for permission to talk to potter.

Can potter turn down Chelsea for Brighton? I seriously doubt it and no 1 could blame him if he took the job.

Would you change job if you had to leave your unfinished project and start a new one and at the same time earn 2-3x more money?

Ofcourse you would! If we want Potter he will come here

I mean if we don’t get someone in soon enough for the weekend maybe even if just to be there and not be involved with the match, I think it leaves him open to even more criticism from outside. And boy, he will get some for todays decision for sure.

obviously stuff going on behind the scenes, you could tell he had lost the dressing room doesn't always point to player power.

The way players like Mount, Ziyech, Pulisic etc. have been playing the last games you could see they were not giving 100%.

I hope the next manager put these players in the locker and throw the keys away.

Finally we might be spared the pain of watching the ghost Mason Mount running around doing exactly nothing productively on the pitch.

Although it looked inevitable, it is still some shocking news. He looked and sounded broken yesterday, like he knew it was coming.

Anyway, I will forever be grateful for what TT has done at this club - winning the international trophies and guiding us through the takeover period where he was absolutely stunning and made me a proud Chelsea supporter. I will for sure wish him well. I remember he was unsure of himself managing a big club and Chelsea was supposed to be his final test. Wonder where he will end up next.

Boehly’s interest in signing Ronaldo provided an early difference of opinion, with the American reluctant to simply take “no” for an answer from Tuchel, who, according to sources, seemed exasperated at having to explain his reasons for not wanting the Portuguese (Telegraph)

Also, what we need most of all is a COACH. A coach who obsessively implements a set attacking style with clear patterns.

I’m seeing a lot of our supporters saying we should try for Zidane. We don’t need a figurehead sort of manager that essentially let’s his brilliant team coach itself and stands on the sideline barely speaking.

The way most or all attacking players wanted to leave was worrying. That was an early sign that all was not well with TT.  Letting Werner go was a big mistake. At least he was a fighter in the team!

Is this type of manager even available?

Poch? Not really, he's got history with Spuds and the egos from the PSG Dressing room (Neymar, Mbappe and co kicked him out)....same will happen at Chelsea

Zizou?  Would love to see him in the PL but I don't see him taking this project.

Potter?  Would be the obvious choice but not sure if he leaves Brighton so soon into the season.

Not only that, there was a worrying article from Nizaar or one of the other Chelsea reporters where they basically said Tuchel would purposely not pick certain attackers if they weren't defensively sound.

Like I get the theory behind playing team defense but not every attacker out there is going to be happy to do that, some players need that freedom in the final third to be able to make mistakes and express themselves.
