Watch him tear his quad against Dortmund and will be out for the season.

Just the theme now.

As long as he hasnt been/isn’t rushed back, he should be fine. Same with Reece. Potter starting RJ after that lay off was absolutely incredibly naive. Bring him on second half, don’t start him.

Hopefully they take a more careful approach with Chilly. Bleed him into games to build his match fitness.

Posted about the lack of experienced big personalities and Ben is working nicely toward being one of those in the future.

when he is fully fit he is a WC LB

only 6 out there atm, and Theo is problematic

Alphonso Davies
Nuno Mendes
Andrew Robertson
Ben Chilwell
José Gayà
Theo Hernández   (defence is shit)

Agreee. The amount of time Tuchel spent without Ben and Reece is a tragedy. Always enjoy the shit housery as well.

Surprising how well he linked with Cucurella as well tonight, moreso on Cucurella in terms of the surprising part, just wonder with Silva out if Ben has the mileage until the end of the season, may see Lewis Hall again, rather than Cucurella at LB/LWB.

Chilwell's the best England LB for me, but I think it's more about Southgate's formation. Chilwell is a very attacking-minded RB, which demands cover and a particular balance up front -- reminder that we were most successful with him and Mount working together.

England would be much strong with James and Chilwell IMO tho. Coach's job to make that work, if he is capable.

Yup. As much as Southgate's inaptitude is costing England the better it is for us. The only Chelsea player he somehow rates is Sterling.

Him and Chilwell returning well rested from those darn int breaks is a good thing esp when he uses Walker, Trippier, Shaw instead.

That's big news because it dispels any question marks over his future with City sniffing around.

I know we will need to sell players in the summer and at least one of the left backs will need to move on (Maatsen, Cucurella and Chilwell) but Chilwell is the absolute last on that list that should be considered cashing in on and based on current form and problems we have within the squad he's probably one of only 5 or 6 at most who you'd argue their place is safe and secure.

I would keep Chilwell and Maatsen and fuck Cucarella off.
