Yeah that would be great - not. Just like with Kovacic who has been excellent at City since going there. Would be another huge mistake.

Plus not like there are a huge plethora of LBs at Chilly’s level out there but sure.

Bar Palmer Maatsen is the only player that can move the ball quickly in attacking areas. 

LB should be the last place he should be playing.

At a home game needing a win against a weak side, I could see Maatsen starting as LB.

On an away game, even if Fulham, I'd be fairly certain Cucu (or Colwill) will start on the left, and I can totally understand why; Mudryk is really terrible at defending, so Poch needs a more defensive LB when Mudryk plays. Carney will change that when he's back.

Either way, huge loss esp in a stupid carabao game.

Normally it would be a big blow but now when Colwill is starting LB which I prefer we should be good. James is couple weeks away plus Badiashile is almost there. Gusto, Cucurella, Maatsen... Plenty of options in defense. Chilwell was not doing good lately.

This would only pose an issue had we stuck with the manager that amplified all our attacking/chance creation through the quality of our wingbacks.

He hasn’t been starting and I didn’t see a big clamour for him to be a regular. He’s got a good motor but that can be replaced at left back by Maatsen Cucurella Colwill

Odd one, he was a good outlet for us before he got injured during Tuchel's reign but sadly I do think he needs to go. Doesn't attack well, doesn't defend well anymore.
