N'Golo Kante

Shame really.

I think with all that effort he exerts, he's really run himself to the ground. Hence all these niggling injuries.

Reminds me of what happened with Essien.

Another high intensity all action midfielder with intense workrate., who ruined his knees.

I wonder what the club does with Kante's contract situation....don't see how you can offer a player with niggling injuries and the amount of miles he's accumulated over the years on his body more than a 1+1 year deal

I wouldn't be shocked if this is his final season with Chelsea as those injuries will only get worse as he ages.

What a shame. If he managed to stay fit he'd still be our best player by far and one of the best in the world. Sad to see such a great player and person be ruined by injuries, he doesn't deserve it. 😔

Fuck, that’s devastating. 😔

That’s probably the end of his Chelsea career, huh? Even if he gets fit before the end of the season it would be stupid of him to play again and risk re-injuring himself just before his contract ends.

At his age and with his recent injury troubles I can’t see us offering him the new long term deal he apparently desires. What a sad way for it to end for a genuine legend.

My favorite Chelsea player in the post Lampard/Drogba/JT era. 😢😢😢

I think we'll see him again this season as he'll be back for the run in. However, I do not see him getting a contract that'll match what he'll get offered elsewhere.

It is sad to see him out for another lengthy period. I still believe he's the only WC player in our squad, but next summer will be the perfect time for both parties to part ways.

There's no place for sentiment nowadays, especially when it comes to the club's highest earner or thereabouts.

Reece James is not world class or you forgot about him?

I still think he's on the cusp. If he stays fit & keeps putting in such performances, there won't be a question in my mind.
