Lovely. Best to just agree to disagree. Wouldn't want to make a mountain out of a molehill... No you talked about two incidents... the goals... Anyways this is becoming boring. I'm elated we're finding a variety of ways to win games and that we're not just depending on solid defense. Balance is what's been our hallmark. We conceded two contentious goals and scored 4! this is a good thing, we're not gonna be perfect each and every time out.

He said even a champion side can only expect 6-8 top class displays a season with the rest of the games being made up with spurts of good periods of play. I'd stick today as one of those where good spurts saw us over the line. Chelsea Legend 11, Unionjack, 11Drogba and 1 other

Seems like we're able to play any style the game requires us to play at the moment... Popular Post! themethodist 23 Posted January 1, 2017 Popular Post! Share Posted January 1, 2017 I never write on forums, because first and foremost I am a lazy bastard, secondly, I have never considered my views interesting enough to write down. But I have had to do it this time, since I have enjoyed the last couple of months so much. I would like to show my respect and say I am grateful for the following things: 1. I am able to sit down and watch a Chelsea match with joy, energy and excitement without being bored to death. 2. I can also look forward to the next match like it would be a holiday. 3. I like modest and professional people in life, so it is especially pleasant to hear/read about Conte and watch any interview with him. He doesn't mince his words and I think a coach doesn't have to. No mind games, no scandals. 4. I am satisfied with seeing the incredibly positive atmosphere within the club. Legends (not only Chelsea ones) come and go, they check the team, look at the lads how they work. I think Chelsea have lost a little bit of the hated nature that they had possessed before. 5. Moses. I like players on the periphery, since you don't need world-class players everywhere on the pitch (you need only a couple of them as far as I'm concerned), sometimes all you need is a lad, who does everything on a constant level and never goes beyond that thus becoming reliable. You need players who are good at following orders and never complain or rebel. I respect this guy for his humble nature and his incredible work. 6. I am grateful for the new and improved Diego Costa. I used to dislike him for the fact that he wasted a big amount of energy on mocking and bullying the opponent. With Conte he has managed to channel all this energy into being an efficient, running weapon on the pitch. He is a beast unleashed to tell you the truth and I would be really scared if I had to face him as a player. I know there is only one Didier Drogba, but Diego is more or less reminiscent of him so far, incredible. 7. Eden Hazard. I think with his new role on the pitch, the whole team can enjoy the benefits of a quick and offensive play. It is pure joy to watch him. Sometimes I rub my eyes and can't believe wtf has he just done. I reckon he shouldn't defend that much in order to utilize his creative potential much better. Of course it has its price, other have to do it. 8. Matic and Kanté can sufficiently manage this task complemented with Alonso and Moses. These guys never run out of juice, sometimes it is tiring to watch how much Kanté can run. I think this improved midfield is the key that our defense looks much better. In my opinion Conte has done a great amount of work harmonizing these guys. 9. I could mention the role of David Luiz in Conte's system. Being active, dynamic and ready to clear the ball even in the nick of time. He plays it pretty well and can also contribute to the offensive play with long balls. I am glad to enjoy football again and this was the sole purpose of writing this longish something here. Thank you Chelsea and Mr. Conte. I wish you all a happy new year! Excellent post from an unbiased footbal supporter to which we thank you for contributing your thoughts. They are always welcome both good and bad you lazy bastard . The change thats occured in peoples (football supporters AND media/pundits) has been a 180" turnaround. We are making the normal supporter look forwards to watching us and Ive never heard that in my life. Going from Contes open charasmatic character to his man management methods he uses thats got all the players believing in him and his ways amd who have made them believe in themselves once again. Its just a great time to be Blue. But football supporting is a very fickle thing isn't it. You just watch how the bandwagon can turn like a snake at that 1st drop of blood. That first loss we have you will see us shredded. There will be questions like Was Chelsea just lucky and shit like that. The world loves building someone/something up and take great pleasure in tearing it down again. I'm just not used to this out pouring of love towards us. We have always been hated even when we were winning which made it alot easier to see the haters coming cause everyone who wasn't Chelsea did hate us. Its going to be difficult to get used to the Conte era but I hope its a long one! Fernando 6,586
If we can win it this season then that will be amazing. Put us back in the CL, and now we can get players much easily after winning the league. It will be great as next season we will be much harder. Pep will have another season in the PL to see what is needed. Mourinho is always better in his second season. And Liverpool are doing great. Cheers mates and KTBFFH To be fair, it's a matter of perspective. Klopp might have a point. We won 13 in a row but somehow we're only 6 points ahead of them.. But, on the other hand, this is their best season in quite some time and yet they are still 6 points behind the leaders. I think it's more frustrating for them than for us. Still a long way to go and we will see where we stand come May, but i hope we can win the title. Cheers Cosmin

Only stated the flaws in our performances today (pretty sure Conte won't be happy with that either) because on another day, giving away soft goals like that could have cost us points (remember Swansea this season?). Alonso may be 6'2" but he's not exactly a physical defender, is he? And zonal marking or not, the defender for both goals and in some other instances were certainly quite messy to say the least. Actually the headlines for his interview was he was very happy. Speak for yourself, not the manager

Liverpool despite beating us at the bridge, Arsenal at the Emirates, and unbeaten against the rest of the top 6 are still 6 points behind. But Conte did mention a thing or two about our defending and given he's Italian and a demanding manager, he wouldn't have been entirely satisfied in our performance and would want to rectify the mistakes. 11Drogba
