The Mourinho Thread

Jose had no bad season at all. As a matter of fact, he had an amazing season. Just look at Chelsea´s stats of the last three seasons in the PL. It says it all.

We may not agree on everything he has done, but constantly hammer him here by some jokers is not called for, I feel.

So my criticism of how Mourinho has set us up this season against the smaller teams that sit deep - our main problem this season, which you refused to acknowledge initially - hasn't been measured at all? It's been completely unfair has it? Have I asked for him to be sacked? You're being overdramatic as usual.

Some people don't know the meaning of support? So because you're criticising part of Mourinho's managerial strategy in a set of games you're suddenly heralded by TC's god as someone who doesn't support the club. Wonderful.

It's so, so ironic how someone who was blasting Mourinho for loaning out Lukaku earlier in the season now has the audacity to blast other people because they don't like certain different aspects of what Mourinho has done this season. Well done.

I've said I've criticised him, but I don't bang on about it over and over and over and over again. People like lionsden and Mr excalibur can't wait to jump on a bad performance but stay quite as a mouse under their rocks when we actually do well. I've been accused in a slightly snidey, roundabout way by dee of calling them plastic supporters when the truth is I don't recall seeing them support the team.

As for Jose's tactics, I've consistently said we don't have a striker who is a good enough and that it's unfair to fully appraise Jose's tactical astuteness before he's had a chance to build HIS team. That requires patience and perspective. Some people need to remind themselves that we're still paying about £15 million per season for Torres.

Yes, because criticising certain aspects of Mourinho does automatically equates to someone saying we won't win the league next year. Do you know how stupid you sound?

So you're criticising the guy now because you might not be able to next year when we win the league?

See that sounds like a lot of hard work. I'd just wait, remain positive and look forward to buying a commemorative mug in 12 months time or something. But I'm a cup half full kinda guy.

The fact that you stoop so low to use such terms just shows what a sorry excuse of a human being you really are and I've already reported your behaviour to a moderator and will report it to all moderators if you keep pushing your luck.

The Mourinho fundamentalist on here are an amazing species.

Fanboys and now fundamentalists. Jesus.

Please...don't feel like I'm victimising you. I don't know how I'd live with myself if you thought that. Dry your eyes mate.

First of all, this is a bold faced lie. The people who read my comments here know that I praise the manager when he deserves it and criticize him when he deserves it. But If only you supported the football club with such gusto! You're the one who deserves to get banned for being a disgusting racist. You don't even know me or my family, so it's actually pretty hilarious (and sad) you typed what you did that day. I will never forgive you for that. The fact that you stoop so low to use such terms just shows what a sorry excuse of a human being you really are and I've already reported your behaviour to a moderator and will report it to all moderators if you keep pushing your luck.

As I said before. You are a clown. Now, do not respond to me!

The truth is that we're a team without a striker and we could still go into the last day of the season with one of the replica premier league trophies being in Cardiff.

There's still a possibility of us going through the streets of West London in an open-top bus - Plastic flags for everyone!!

All of this in a transition year - and yes it is a transition year.

I for one think we had a good season, Jose said from the start that this was a transition year.

Yeah we had our ups and downs but thats perfectly normal to me, he's still searching for our identity

I wont judge him based on this year, what matters is next year, thats what realy counts

my bad. i agree too this was a successful season as jose stated our goals this season last june. i used term "bad season" for those who feel this season is the most dreadful season, and its main reason is jose.

Carlo won the title from an offside goal, he prevented Jose from being the only manager to win the league in the Roman era.. by the skin of his teeth. Carlo had Drogba, Jose has..

The grass isn't greener on the other side.

The thing is none of the people who constantly moan talk about the other side. There is no suggestion of an alternative. They just reminisce about the football that Carlo had us playing in 2010....but gloss over the fact that we had a spine that JOSE MOURINHO actually put in place a few years earlier. Avram Grant had us playing some good football, but again that was down to the players we had.

We don't have those players yet and some people simply don't have any patience for us to acquire or develop them. They want it now and if they don't get it they'll stomp their feet and hold their breath and cry and cry and cry.

certain aspects???!!!!

also do u even read what lionsden and the excalibur guy and henrique post.

yesterday one of them even said wenger has been more successful

also how is it stupid. you and styles might not be as bad but considering the lengths those 3 specifically go to slate jose and the team is unbelievable. constantly bringing up other managers (like carlo dint have a trophyless season with a far more balanced team). so why not put your money where your mouth is?

Criticising mourinho or chelsea is the shortest path to getting attention. Jamie redknapp has shown many how it's done...if u want to be a sky pundit or want the media to publish any trash u spit out...then all you need to do, is criticise mourinho and chelsea. Just say mourinho is a negative manager and that u would have won the league by christmas, if u had the chelsea team at your disposal.

What the hell are you on about? Pretending that I don't know that. Moving the goalposts to suit your argument to make the bullshit you sprouted earlier seem justified. You know that I've consistently said myself that we're still a few players away from a complete team, i.e. a good attacking left back, a creative CM, and a striker. I've been saying that for months. We've had plenty of discussions about that.

That still doesn't mean that Mourinho's been perfect given his resources, especially in recent weeks where we've lost again Aston Villa, Sunderland and Crystal Palace and drawing against Norwich yesterday. Surely even you have to admit that we have enough talent to beat those teams. Of course he and the team are going to be criticised for that, you'd have to be naive to think he doesn't have any sort of responsibility on those results. Losing against those sides are bound to make you question the approach the manager is taking.

Yeah, we're a few players away from truly playing as well as we we're capable of but that doesn't mean that he could'nt have implemented better approaches in those games. So I think some of the criticism of him have been fair yet some on here like you and didierforever will any criticism of that sort and automatically think that you're downgrading Mourinho as a manager or slating the club which is absolutely ridiculous and mindless.

So you're criticising the guy now because you might not be able to next year when we win the league?

See that sounds like a lot of hard work. I'd just wait, remain positive and look forward to buying a commemorative mug in 12 months time or something. But I'm a cup half full kinda guy.

Stop acting like all I've done is criticise Mourinho. I've praised him when praise is due, likewise how I've criticised him when criticism is due. If it was any other manager I would've done the same thing. Criticising what any manager or any player has done in a couple of games does not equate to me believing we're not going to win the league next year or me not being patient and wanting him out.

I'm obviously hoping that those are aspects that he and the team improves on next year. It's that simple.

They all have their opinions. So what if they don't fancy Mourinho as a manager? Doesn't mean that they don't support the club or that they don't believe we can win anything next year.

also how is it stupid. you and styles might not be as bad but considering the lengths those 3 specifically go to slate jose and the team is unbelievable. constantly bringing up other managers (like carlo dint have a trophyless season with a far more balanced team). so why not put your money where your mouth is?

It's stupid because you're saying that anyone that criticises Mourinho for what he's done in certain aspects this season (funny, that would include TOPTB too since he criticised Mourinho about the Lukaku loan earlier in the season - what a conundrum) is backing us not to win the title next season. Again, read that out loud and realise how stupid it sounds.

I have this ability to balance those losses alongside other factors, like the clear holes in our squad. I can look at those games and then look at the performances against the likes of City, Liverpool, Arsenal and PSG. This was always going to be a transition season so you're always going to get results like that. This is when you have to trust the guy in charge and not keep banging on about how we struggle to break down packed defences.

Packed defences are hard to score goals against. That's why teams who don't want to concede goals employ that tactic. There's no magical way through them, but you at least need a good striker to have a chance - we don't.

The team who scored 96 goals in the league and have one of the best strikers in world football struggled as well.

Stop acting like all I've done is criticise Mourinho.

To be fair you don't. Like I've said, lionsden and Excalibur are the prime examples of that.

I just find it a little tedious that some people bang on about us struggling to create chances when they've had it explained to them that the problem is clearly the lack of a striker. That might sound simplistic but it's a massive hole in our team and one not really down to Jose.
