Popular Post! The Mak 4,459 Posted February 4, 2014 Popular Post! Share Posted February 4, 2014 Tonight we officially acquired our fear factor back and his name is José Mourinho. We've known it all along, but now the naysayers, the city lovers and everyone else has just been reminded how deadly Mourinho can be. These next few years are going to be something else - strap yourselves in. sodasys, Blue-in-me-Veins, GodZola and 4 others

Popular Post! The Mak 4,459 Posted February 4, 2014 Popular Post! Share Posted February 4, 2014 I know he likes to entertain but maybe Mourinho should just keep his mouth shut sometimes. He and fellow fans criticized Lukaku for speaking too much to the media but Mourinho is doing the exact same thing and is sounding bitter and hypocritical imo. For instance regarding West Ham's defensive style and cannot see why he is pointing out City's spending. We are the ones who started the lavish spending and Man City just followed after. Sounds really hypocritical and some of his statements just sound stupid. Just get on with the job please Jose and stop entertaining the media.Lol at this btw. I see everyone else has taken you to task over City's spending, but do not compare Lukaku talking to the media and José talking to the media. It is José's job to talk to the media. It is also his job to protect his team any way he can and to gain an advantage any way he can - he does this through the media. The fact that he even has you complaining about it shows the effect it can have; no one was talking about his players. They were left to concentrate on tonights game and they executed everything perfectly. However, it is not in Lukaku's job description to piss and moan about Chelsea (saying stupidly unnecessary things about wanting to outscore our strikers etc.) at another club while still under contract at Chelsea - the club he asked to leave. Barbara 15,149
Aw come on, that's one isolated game where certain people rightfully criticised how Mourinho set up the team, they weren't knocking him as a manager, just how he set up in one game.I hate how some people think you can't say anything at all about anything Mourinho does. It's ridiculous.sorry, but that game was drawn because nothing we could do would change thatI disagreed with some of Mourinho's choices (especially the subs and the time he took) but we could have played the entire squad for 5 days and that 0 wouldn't be removed from there. Let's take a moment to recognize WHU defended flawless there... we were unlucky, didn't have the players to finish it for us (something we never do anyway) and despite Mourinho's minor mistakes, I don't think he earned to be judged by that result... his mistakes were minor compared to the greatness of WHU defense skills in that match kellzfresh and Fernando
Popular Post! Blue-in-me-Veins 4,067 Posted February 4, 2014 Popular Post! Share Posted February 4, 2014 it honestly just hit me how happy and relaxed i can be as a CFC to know that we have one of the greatest coaches in all of sports leading this team once again. Imagine we were still with some incompetent/stop-gap manager? We would have been battling with the likes of Everton/Liverpool and Spuds to win 4th place and even if we did attain CL football it would have been with no real sense of direction or identity. For the past 3 seasons, match days we often a mystery of which Chelsea was going to show up. But now we know it'll be a tight defense, high pressure at times, accommodated by face paced counter-attacks. Having JM at the club again has just hit me, (honestly). When we were defending a free-kick and the camera flashed to our defense/midfield, seeing the likes of JT, Cahill, Matic, Luiz and Ivan along with Cech in goal defending in the box had me like Damn! that's the Chelsea i know and love. Big, physical lads who are so potent defensively and equally as intimidating, so when the likes of City or whoever come calling we have just as much skill defensively as so going forward. When the whole world knows what you want to do, yet they still can't stop it, that's the mark of a great team. And we certainly are not a great team yet, but we are surely working our way there as we build that identity of a typical JM team. Chelsea are once again an intimidating side, we are once again a team to be reckoned with week in-week out, we once again have an identity and are once again in the title race. (oh how long it's been! )We have the fortress that is Stamford Bridge, we have the size and strength across the pitch, we have the cohesion in attack (all be it just the Striker position), and most of all we have the iconic leader who can win games either with his mind or words. It's been a long 3 years (Bar the CL win and FA Cup), and in my eyes we are at the end of what has been a long and dark transition period. So let's get back to our winning ways! So let’s praise Mourinho for that. We don’t always give him credit, but this is a night when he deserves it.”— BBC Sport“Chelsea were brutally efficient tonight. A third of the possession, but double the amount of shots on target. It sounds like they are getting down to partying pretty sharpish as well. Popular Post! manpe 10,861 Posted February 4, 2014 Popular Post! Share Posted February 4, 2014 Although still not as old and boring as the ridiculous and unintelligent assumption that every single thing the man says is a "mind game" .THANK YOU. Do people expect Jose to bend over and take it in the stinker? Whenever he speaks the truth it's "mind games this and mind games that". Well I'd rather have this than a disinterested interim head coach trying to get along with everybody like a freshman in school. I'm glad he slammed Wet Sham, they're a shit club and they deserve every piss take they get, hypocritical or not. I'm glad he's getting criticized though, because he can take it. When's the last time we've heard anything bad about our players? Exactly, they have no time for that anymore, Mouro has their hands full. Just like old times.EDIT: Almost forgot - Jose is a genius. West Ham definitely defended well, but in the last 10 minutes we came within inches of scoring multiple times, with perhaps the biggest chance right at the end when Lampard missed a sitter. In retrospect Mourinho was definitely too slow to make changes, but hindsight is 20/20 and Jose was probably confident we would break them down with the players we had on the pitch. I imagine he was worried about a freak goal on the counter as well because it was clear we weren't going to bang in a lot of goals. We created the chances, we just didn't take them. With better finishing that game was ours. Drogzola

Popular Post! francozola 2,040 Posted February 4, 2014 Popular Post! Share Posted February 4, 2014 He's delivering a master class not only in tactics but also in media handling. He's been spot on in pretty much every single instance this season. He protected the strikers when they weren't scoring and went through that torrid dry spell, saying stuff like he's happy they're working hard for the team, etc. Even if he's unhappy behind the scenes, saying things like that has immeasurable benefits. He constantly mentions how fantastic JT has been, praising guys like Azpi and Luiz, who are not nailed on starters, and others too. He's always talking up our players, giving them all the confidence in the world. The way he's handled Eden is also masterful. First saying he expects much more, and now that Eden is performing consistently, Jose continues to say that Eden has the potential to be as good as Messi and Ronaldo. And finally, I love how he keeps playing down our chances to win the Prem. Everyone is obviously taking notice of us now that we're level with City, but we've pretty much been quietly chipping away and keeping just a short distance between us and the two above. Those draws away at United and Arsenal were slammed as awful, negative football. How fucking crucial do they look now?! We'll see who comes out on top in May. Jose is the best weapon we have. So delighted! manpe, The Skipper, The Rising Sun and 10 others

Popular Post! Tomo 21,751 Posted February 4, 2014 Popular Post! Share Posted February 4, 2014 The confidence and assurance Mourinho gives me is unrivalled. Under Rafa RDM or even Ancelotti 1-0 at The Ethiad at HT and my nails would be off, last night i wasn't fully relaxed because Jose or not all it takes is one moment but i certainly wasn't the mess i was in similar circumstances under other managers.
