If Athletici sacked Simeone for whatever reason, id put my life on the fact he won't go Real or Barca. What he's done for the club won't be erased or forgotten, but I can't pretend I'm not disappointed. Every case is different, there are so many factors to take into consideration, facts of which we don't know the details. One things is being disappointed, another completely different thing is not understanding that he can do what he wants and disrespect him for doing exactly that. There is a fine difference. From what I know de Boer and Bergkamp have never seen eye to eye and that Bergkamp is a staff member for Ajax as opposed to de Boer (if you follow). de Boer has his own staff and will more than likely take them with him. Just look at the managers. You have world class managers in Pep, Mourinho, Conte, Klopp & Wenger that are the best in the world at what they are doing, they've proven it on so many levels. Then you have great underrated managers that have solid teams and can surprise the top teams, like Ranieri, Koeman & Hughes. There are also young, hungry managers that want to prove their worth in the football industry, like Pochettino, Bilic, Karanka & Howe. At last you have crazy fuckers that find joy in destroying dreams of the other teams while playing shit the whole season, Allardyce, Pulis, Pardew, Dyche. Add all the TV money clubs will have to spend & you have the recipe for the fantastic season. wenger?!?!

Let's not forget Wenger finished 2nd this season. His team besides Liverpool are the only ones to have beaten the champions. And TWICE while at it. But Wenger winning the league again? That's a different story. Wenger is a dinosaur, he has no idea how to win games that matter. robsblubot

We should be aiming to buy some younger players since Mourinho will have a bigger pressure then here to win. And because of that Youth will fall to the side. Perfect time to buy some young talents from United. But of course we won't.

Blue Colored Sky 1,807
United squad would need quite an overhaul. First thing first, the defenders. Only Luke Shaw looks like a perfect fit as he is big, strong centre-back-ish full-back. The rest of them need reshape. The guy like Rojo or Darmian have too many lapses in concentration to be reliable. Smalling is good but don't know if he's leader Mourinho seeks. No chance that Mou will play with Bling at CB. The midfield line, Schnederlin can have a second breath at the club. He looks to match what Mou looks for at the defensive midfielders. Herrera has some qualities as he is athletic but again, he maybe is too soft in mental aspect. Carrick won't be reliable, he is 35. Fellaini is tough and looks good for me. Schweinsteiger can be bined at the first occasion as he may be Mourinho starter like Alonso. Rooney is great fit and Mou is an admirer. Martial maybe is too calm and soft to lead the line but Jose can unlock him like he did with Benzema. The Rashfords and Lingaards and Depays don't look the greatest fit, disregarding their age even, Mou would have to sharp them up a lot. Ashley Young and Valencia can be good utility men, Valencia particularly goes together nicely with Mou. And Mata, lol. Overall half of the squad looks to be in need of replacing. But Jose Mourinho with cash is very dangerous man. If he will have the budget that is said he will, he will be dangerous as a rival and I mean really dangerous. Pizy 18,952
Wonder if the tiger will be able to change his stripes. When he comes up against the other big sides will he set out to play attacking football or will he do what he has always done and play the pragmatic, counter attacking style? Laylabelle 9,536
From sounds of it been a done deal for a while so can definitely see the budget being big and having time to think about players as well.. Just hope we don't try and skimp through as we have.other teams have a knack of buying cheap but still quality players. Us however cheap and kinda crap. Superblue 6,372
You roll the dice with Mourinho. He gives you short term success and trophies, but his ways will always leave problems long term by which time he is long gone. It's hard now in hindsight to decide whether bringing him back was a good idea. On one hand we won two trophies including a league title we hadn't challenged for properly since we last won it under Ancelotti. On the other hand he has let seriously talented young players leave and left huge holes in our squad which we are paying for now. United have rolled the dice though and I think rightly so. Their brand and appeal needs trophies and Jose will get them back up towards the top of the league challenging them to make sure short term they don't fall further behind and end up like Liverpool. Long term though it will be interesting to see what damage United suffer for the chance they are taking. Blue-in-me-Veins
