The Mourinho Thread

I think a lot of the fans wouldn't be so angry with Mourinho if he actually played young players. I'd be okay with not playing in CL for one season if that meant that our young players would play in our starting team. Look at United, they are playing Lingard instead of Depay, for example. RLC is a big, big talent and it would be shame if we wasted him.

3 goals in 7 minutes once Mourinho leaves Cobham.

Does the alleged dictorial presence make players nervous?

Possibly - they know if they don't perform to an unrealistic level they will continue to rot in the reserves

Sometimes doing your job can be fun - but Mou seems to suck all of the life and happiness out of everything...

exactly this. he has no right , not look long term, in this scenario. especially as he promised to do so.

Some of the things he does are questionable to say the least, and no one of sane minds is going to defend him for those things.

However, most people, just like you, go too far from what is the reality, some comments i've seen in here about him, can be appropriate for criminals, or serious offenders, not a football manager, who at least from what we know is not a drug dealer/murderer/pimp.

I don't like Guardiola, i don't like Ronaldo, i don't like Rodgers or others, but disrespect them as people? That's a step too far from what is the reality, or what really matters in this world.

attacking someones eye for no reason. that's the kind of thing that really matters to me, very cowardly and dangerous. deserved an absolute hiding for that imo,

heat of the moment thing during a touchline melee.

He made up with the Barca assistant and admitted he was wrong.

'I should not have done what I did, obviously not,' Mourinho told Fox Sports during Real's pre-season tour of the United States.

'The person who messed up there was me,' added the Portuguese, in an interview posted on the broadcaster's website.'

This graph makes it clear that attack-wise, this team has been on a terrible decline since 2014/2015. This lends further credence to Jose's inability to affect his sides on the offensive end.

Mourinho's teams have never had any sustained way of playing in attack. Just relying on counter attacks and the quality of certain individual players will not bring long term success. Excluding the initial spurt in quality of football after the Costa and Fabregas signings, we've been very unconvincing in attack throughout Mourinho's 2nd spell.

Mourinho is to busy making proclamations like "when you reach my level, it's difficult to learn from others". Other managers continue learning, his ego means he's stood still.

That damned Tottenham seems to have been so pivotal in a bad way. But how? Did something happen there? I vaguely seem to remember Mourinho being absolutely furious after that game declaring he would restrict a lot of the attacking plays and focus more on defense. I can be completely wrong about this and I can't find this interview on the net, but it seems to be in accordance with our, erm.., 'style' of play after that.

Edit: I seem to have mixed up the tottenham game last year with the COC defeat to sunderland the year before . (http://www.theguardian.com/football/2013/dec/18/jose-mourinho-chelsea-tactics-sunderland). Still, one might expect Mourinho to have made the same decision after that game and after the horrible start this season.

"It's something I don't want to do, to play more counterattacking, but I'm giving it serious thought. If I want to win 1-0 I think I can as I think it is one of the easiest things in football. It is not so difficult, as you don't give players the chance to express themselves." :wank2:

Jose always does that, he allows the team to be more free flowing until we lose, remember all the interviews he gave saying he wanted us to playinga different style of football from previous sides he managed, he wanted our defenders to play higher up the pitch and for our forwards to press high. He then pussies out once we lose, it's really frustrating.

As a fisherman you need to stay calm and wait for the perfect moment, it's still too early to get the hook out.

as a fisherman , if you stay out at sea too long (represented here by jose keeping his job) there may be a storm , drowning , killer whales attack (represent by missing out on CL, ruining young players).

i know this is lame but.... i wanted to say something about fishing.
