Popular Post! The Skipper 20,609 Posted December 17, 2015 Popular Post! Share Posted December 17, 2015 This isn't football manager where the players automatically follow the instructions. Big egos, not so much sportsmanship and teamwork. This was a grudge between the manager and the players, just that the team and the results got in the middle of it. A mistake to let him go but what is done is done. Really curious what will happen next.So you really think the players revolted against Mourinho essentially? What evidence do you have to prove this? This isn't the same as let's say what AVB experienced here. The players seemed very much behind Mourinho IMO. kmk108, Belgiannutt, bellion and 10 others

zolayes 14,489
Agree with this. I also think that it is the players' fault as well to an extent (30%) for being in this situation so the board should do the right thing next summer and chop the squad. Appoint a world class manager (Diego Simeone if Pep is not available) and provide him with the right amount of money to rebuild the squad and bring the players he want. We've saved money last summer, hopefully we'll be saving again this winter so money should be no problem next summer. there will be quite a compensation bill and No european income next year so there will be a considerable financial hit . The Skipper 20,609
Solanke, RLC, Baker, Boga, Colkett.Prepare for mid table football at the best for a few years then. We can't replace the likes of Hazard, Cesc and Diego in January with our youth players and expect to remain a very top team, not like this. bellion, Stats and Belgiannutt
Fernando 6,585
although I have been critical especially over the last 6 months I am not celebrating but I do have a great feeling of relief . Time to move on .I feel the same, no celebration for me. Very relief because we have been drag down the mud.And the thought that we can bounce back (hopefully) makes me happy.I do feel sad he's gone for the past achievement, but the past is the past.We don't live from the past, we need to move on and appoint someone that can take us in the right direction. zolayes

Midtable would be an improvement. Muzchap and mediator
Popular Post! Special Juan 28,146 Posted December 17, 2015 Popular Post! Share Posted December 17, 2015 Players don't get sacked, managers do.The decision was the right one, forget this longevity thing, it was never going to happen. Whilst he was not fully to blame he was part of the blame, his PC and after match interviews became tiresome, annoying and very predictable. He made himself a target because of his ego, everyone else got the blame from refs to 4th officials, and sometimes he was right but there is also times you need to reign it the fuck in and say things behind closed doors. Thanks for everything Jose, I'm forever grateful, but I'm not sorry you have gone, this club needs to move on so much from you. Stats 7,147
Well, fuck off and celebrate then. You know who you are, fuck off down the pub and have a few pintsI can't believe the club have sacked him. Players' fault, if they suddenly play brilliantly on saturday I'll certainly make my feelings heardSo you would rather us not turn up and drop points then?As Skipper said, the players came out several times, declaring their support for Mourinho but bottom line is that it was not working and something needed to change. bellion
LemmeBorrowThat 124
It had to happen. It was time, can't let his legacy be dominant over the best interest of the team in the long term. I appreciate what he has done on both his stops here but enough is enough. Let the youth movement begin, this is just the start. DYC. 7,542
I wish the club would go back to Chelsea men in an assistant position. Like with Wilkins, Di Matteo, Newton. Men who can keep the club culture alive and men you can trust to only do what's best for the club. But also someone who will remain at the club, despite the manager in charge. Think that's important for the club.Someone fly to Qatar and China and convince Zola and Petrescu to come home. Di Matteo returning as an assistant would be brilliant as well.
