Laylabelle 9,536
The problems been clear for ages Last half of season we were pretty poor at times but sorta not so clear as other teams were worse and we stayed top.Pre season was 'oh it's only pre season'..no it wasn't.Needs to stop being stubborn/annoying by playing players who week in are the cause of some of our problems. If they don't perform don't play should be simple yet isn't.Given our current position you'd thought they would've gone for it.we could've gone top half with a win yet little fight 2nd half and looked like didn't have a clue Muzchap
Iggy Doonican 4,186
Lets be honest we are a basket case of a club in some respects. Does anyone really think Mourinho will be around for long history dictates he won't. The die was cast as soon as Roman came to the club. There will always be a revolving door of managers and everyone has to accept that. Doesn't matter who you are and what your reputation is like the chances are you'll not be around for more then three years. Chelsea have never done stability it's not in our D.N.A.going back to the 70's when Eddie McCreadie was sacked for asking for a car just after winning us promotion with a young and exciting team. Popular Post! kellzfresh 7,229 Posted September 27, 2015 Popular Post! Share Posted September 27, 2015 I want Chelsea to be a pressing team that plays with intensity. Not possession, not Tiki-taka, just basic pressing and intensity. We have to develop an identity for our team so that the players instinctively play that way when the match isn't easy. Teams like Bayern and Barcelona hold unto the ball when they're having a tough time because they instinctively play to their training pattern. We on the other hand look like a team that once the game tactics don't work, every player starts playing what he feels like is right without any cohesion. Mourinho just has to get us playing one pattern so that we get used to it, so that even if he doesn't give any match tactics, we won't look so confused and can fall back on our identity. LAM09 7,067
you're wrong, klopp has done well with two club: Mainz and BVB!Mou when he arrived at bridge he had done only with Porto! Mou had just won the CL. How did Klopp's last season end?
Magic Lamps 11,692
Even if MOurinho is at fault for our slump, is Newcastle really the right event for criticizing him? His subs salvaged the draw after all. I am sure he did not tell the team to play like shit from the beginning. Give him this season. It is too expensive to sack him now anyway, so let him have it and if we fail to win a single title he has to go. kellzfresh

Billy. 2,742
Chelsea doesn't fight relegation after just two months, deep down you know that!I think a lot of the guys here needed an excuse to call for his head, some of them are bored because their toy isn't fancy anymore. As Mourinho said: "envy is the biggest tribute that the shadows do to the man."Really sad and depressing times around here, thank god that Abramovich and his board, a bunch of well trained und educated acadamics, don't think that way anymore. So, get some air, spent time with your families and friends and let that man work, for fucks sake...Otherwise continue that discussion, maybe Costa should go too, lol.I can only speak for myself and I am loving life...If there was any chance we could get any of Augero, Lewendoski, huntelaar, even Dkezo i would be saying ta la Costa didierforever
Billy. 2,742
The problem with us atm is we have to many pussy's on the team that get pushed off the ball way to much. i mean Matic atm is one of the worst for this and he is meant to be our rock in the middle. Back when we have Duff, Robben and Cole out wide they could hold their own. Now with one little brush Hazard, Willian and co just go down or lose the ball. In the middle we used to have Essien, Lampard, Ballack and even little maka that used to boss people about. We have also lost our ruthlessness and going for the kill, it just seems like jose is happy to send them out and ease into the game and maybe nick a goal I will always love what Jose has done for this club in both spells but i feel that this may be the last season with him as the boss. I can see us going for Klopp in the summer. didierforever

Jase 43,479
People are calling for Ivanovic's head. We want him benched. But what can Ivanovic do about it? That's the problem. He cannot disobey Jose's orders. He will be at risk from not getting paid AND dropped from the bench. It's Mourinho that we should be looking at for Ivanovic. Why did we sell Luis is beyond me. It's stupid, I just can't get my head around it. He would have been PERFECT for this season, perfect. And why bother buying Baba if we are not going to test the waters with him in the PL. Even the useless Cuadrado had minutes last season in the PL.What can Ivanovic do about it? He could start by improving his performances to justify the manager's (blind) faith and stop us from constantly moaning about him. If Ivanovic and the other players have any sense of pride, professionalism etc about them, then they should look at themselves and ask if they are putting in the effort in matches - because from what we saw yesterday in the first half, they certainly did not do that and haven't been doing it. The one thing we always have down the years is fighting spirit, the willingness to fight, put in the miles and work the socks off, especially when things aren't going our way. And right now, we don't even see that in the players. killer1257, laura90, Muzchap and 1 other
lionsden 4,689
Compare to previous managers, Mourinho gets a lot more stick than them/players escaping from criticism pretty easily.Name these previous managers that were let off easy. Although I suspect those managers weren't drama queen who dragged the image of the club through the mud and had us languishing in bottom half of the table at the end of September while playing atrocious football to boot whilst doing absolutely nothing to inspire confidence and so on. lucio

lionsden 4,689
Let me make sure I get this right. Are some of you saying we need more signings in order to churn out better performances and results than we have shown so far this season? So our squad is now relegation candidate level?. The bottomline is, there's absolutely no justification for the quality of a squad such as ours to have 8 points after 7 games while playing some of the worst football in the league, if not europe. the blame lies heavily on the manager. this team should be achieving far more than its currently doing. boshman 1,073
If that doesn't happen - then I see no other option. I think it will happen sooner rather than later. We are in danger of missing out on Top 4.Now i understand your frustrations with performances and more importantly results but to say we are in danger of missing out on the top 4 is ludicrous. We are 5 points behind with 31 games still to play.... Muzchap
