Rom2013 446
Net spending doesn't tell the whole story though.Pedro 27 millionRahman 20 millionBegovic 11 millionCosta 38 millionFabregas 33 millionCuadrado 31 millionLuis 20 millionRemy 13,2 millionWillian 35.5 millionMatic 25 millionSchurrle 22 millionSalah 16.5 millionZouma 14.6 millionThat's 13 players and a combined investment of 306.8 million euros over 5 transferwindows. Our net spend is so low because we had a number of talented, high value players at the club that didn't fit Mourinho's system.(Mata, De Bruyne, Luiz, Lukaku)So we sold them to buy players that did fit his system. Not true. First, CHelsea has a structural deficit... CHelsea had to sell players... at least 1 great player every season to comply with the FFP. That's a fact... It could have been KdB, Lukaku, David Luiz... or Hazard... but at least one great player every season. The right value to analise it's the net value. If you have David Luiz and you sell him to buy Jones you have 1 good CB. If you buy Jones and keep Luiz you have 2 good CB. I think you don't need to be a rocket scientist to understand that the important value is the net value. For example PSG has 3 WC center backs... CHelsea can't do it. Teams with a lot of money like Man City, United, Real, Barca, PSG can have 2 or 3 great players in each position, and Chelsea can't . We will see what can do Chelsea in the next seasons agains Manchester City with Guardiola, Man United with Mourinho, etc. stroey and Ossie the King

He basically said in football when things go wrong a club just don't sack all players, its easier and the rational thing to do to fire the manager when everything goes wrong. Henrique 9,133
I disagree about the effect he'll have at United, but I guess I can only say I hope you're right. The quality of Mourinho, to me, is undisputed. If he's allowed control at United, he'll take them far, imo.Again, hope I'm wrong. It depends whats your concept of "far". Mourinho will never emulate SAF success and thats for sure, perhaps he will do better than LVG, but if Guardiola really comes to City next season I don't see United winning anything relevant in the next 3 years. KevinAshburner 1,270
Put money on Jose Mourinho to be Arsenal or Manchester United Manager. Jose will be manager of MUFC before we play them next or join Arsenal at the end of this season. Jose would probably want to stay in London. Because London is better than Manchester. plus I hate the arsewipes that love or worship a manager more than a club. Do not love or worship something or somebody because that breaks the first commandment of the ten commandments.

El P. 1,354
this perfectly describes the relationship between chelsea and jose i find... at least we'll always have the great memories, the fact that the best manager in the world at this time was the figurehead of our club for some 7 years...He is our icon. And that's why it hurts so bad that we can't be together. Love story, my friend. After Lampard to City, Čech to Arsenal, it felt so great to have one legend at our side. And now... Maybe I'm too sentimental, but fuck it.Mourinho and Chelsea are like that couple that love each other so much, but just can't work it out and last. He's one of us through and through. Hopefully a few home truths were spoken to certain members of the squad. This is a man who constantly works on improving himself, especially his fitness over the summer. A couple of players who came back from their break in a state that wasn't conducive to a title defence could learn a lot from him. Mourinho will do that over his time and they'll get some success in silverware. Pep will do great things with City, but it won't be quite as easy ride as he's had with Bayern Ossie the King

The fact Mourinho's name was heard throughout SB, throughout a 3-0 drubbing, shows how high in regard he's still left. When he came back with Inter, the reception was impeccable. We're respectful and whatever mind games or psychological warfare Mourinho must use when he's employed again, he'll always have deep respect for Chelsea fans alike. Ossie the King 634
"and then they said, here's a new contract!"How good would that be?
