The Mourinho Thread

I am not going to beat around the bush here, and full respect to Maccabi, but if we get anything less than a win tonight I think it could be the last straw. Our season start has been fucking awful, more points lost tonight is not even thinkable for me, and I fear for Jose if we don't get past these without 3 points.

I do think we'll win tonight it won't be a walk in the park but i expect us to win. But this awful start begs the question how many more bad results are acceptable to the fans and the board?. Three defeats already and if we lose on Saturday well the pressure will be seriously cranked up. The January window is usually to bolster squads as all marquee players are illegible to play in the Champions League. So what does he do? well he's sort of painted himself into a corner. Keep playing the utterly out of form players like Ivan, Fairy Ass, Willian etc or on the other hand start playing some youngsters which he never or at least seems reluctant to do.

I'm not here to praise or bury Mourinho but his lack of foresight could well be his downfall. And if there any truth in these rumours about banning banter (surely not!) Well it's a little dictatorial to say the least and is even worse then A.V.B's bizarre request that everyone embraces him after we score.

Just to be clear once again, you are saying (with all the elegance we know you for) that all underperforming players should have been replaced by youngsters and squad players, which at this time would mean at least half of the team, to play in the premiere league against millionaires.... Really?!

It's not that I find the whole idea crazy, but rather that it has been done/tried before and it never works. I've seen it done a number of times and it fails for a number of reasons including the obvious fact that the senior players, highest salaries, hold power (again in a number of ways).

So what you want cant happen.

Btw did you watch the video? Do you think team selection is the only variable? Do you think really that Jose is not making changes even though the same players start? Wow!

simple changes... nothing more. and look at the massive difference in the performance. yes, the opponent is just "tel aviv", but its the first time we have even looked decent on the pitch. simply by dropping 3 of our 4 biggest underperformers/

Means f.a though because we all know all the 'old guards' will be back this weekend, Baba and everyone else will be dropped for the usual big name players as usual.

we can hope until 4.15pm saturday (IST), that this is not the case.

Indeed. I'm expecting the usual Azpi, Cahill, Terry, Ivanovic; Matic, Fabregas; Hazard + 2 players; Costa in the game against Arsenal.

To be honest if there wasn't a "massive difference in the perfomance" in a game against Tel Aviv, Mourinho should be sacked minutes after the game.

Waiting for the Arsenal game.

Exactly.

Taking anything from tonight's game would be foolish when the standard of the opposition is terrible.

What the supporters were singing at the Bridge. All that matters.

No what the owner and board think it what matters most.

I know we will bounce back and do okay, maybe even good. But I would still say to get a different manager afterwards regardless how we end.

But if the board is okay with the fubtol we play, his controversy and all that stuff then good. If they are going to stick by like Arsenal does with Wenger then good.
