Deservedly chosen as captain I thought. Has been nothing but consistent and also he always has improved each year since being here. He is in my eyes the next logical option as captain if Cahill doesn't play next year.

The best thing I love about him he would do anything for the team and would  play any position on the field just to help out the team and he gets on with it and never moans about it  he's perfect professional and role model for young players

Tbh for his size he is good in the air. He wins more headers than I thought, and his good sense of positioning allows him to anticipate where the ball is played and intercept it.

Also, people calling him "consistent"on this forum need to have a look at themselves, he is MUCH more than consistent, he is our best defender, period.

Might even go down as the best "defender"we've ever had IMO
