Moros 86 Posted August 10, 2013 Share Posted August 10, 2013 What I don't like is his finishing, I don't understand why he doesn't use tricks to fool the keeper, use chip-in, it's so in contrast with the rest of his game. I think he must have take too litterally some advices he had to keep it simple or don't think and shoot powerfully (like some belgians coaches would say).He has recently been criticised for some reason when failing to score in a one on one with the goalkeeper for the national team using a chip in. First off it was his first season coming from France, he started very well, then had a rough patch which seemed to coincide with the rest of the team. Then came back strong after his suspension, to end the season in brilliant fashion.He's a very good player already, the only thing poor about him is that finishing. Then again, Mata missed a lot in his first season for us, and Ramires used to miss sitters, now he chips freaking Iker Casillas. You do realize there is a middle ground between being absolutely flawless and being mediocre with massive flaws. And using the so called unbiased pundits and other teams' fans as proof that your opinion is the correct one is ridiculous. The Manchester cunts are all still bitter he chose Chelsea ahead of them and the moment he signed a contract with the club he went from an amazing talent and a potential future Ballon d'Or winner to overrated and many of the neutral fans started to hate him after the infamous ball boy incident so their opinions matter fuck all too. Most of us here witnessed with our own eyes every single one of his performances for Chelsea last season and while he may not have been perfect, I see absolutely no reason not to think he has a truly spectacular future and that we can expect good things from him as early as this season once Jose gets him firing. He has explosive pace, great dribbling skills and is probably the best in our whole team at holding the ball. His footballing brain is exceptional and once he's fully settled in at the club and matured a bit I don't see why he couldn't be one of the best in the world. His finishing could be better and he should maybe try shooting more instead of trying to make things harder than they really are but he has plenty of time to improve those attributes and I have faith in Mourinho to get the best out of him. How so?Cause some his flicks didn't come off? Because he only averaged 88% pass completion instead of 90%? Because he was tied for 2nd most assists in the PL and not 1st? Mata for example, is one who needs to work on his finishing. For the amount of chances he has at goal, he could easily become a 20 goal per season midfielder. Hazard perhaps needs to become a bit more selfish, but tbh I like his laid-back approach to playing. It allows him to play his natural game, which has worked out well for the rest of the team. It's just not pace, his short dribbling is quite phenomenal. He's cold and determined individual, and these types of players usually become very good at finishing eventually.BTW, finishing to me isn't just putting the ball in the back of the net; to a wide player finishing may well be providing an assist, and that's what he did today against Roma.
