2 David Luiz can be a leader

The Brazilian defender is so often pilloried for his lapses but here he took responsibility. After Eden Hazard’s woeful penalty was saved, and with Fernando Torres dithering, Luiz took the ball and drilled it into the net for Chelsea’s next spot-kick to gain the first goal. He was also a relatively vocal presence on the pitch and helped to drive his lacklustre team forward adding much-needed dynamism.

I think there's a massive difference between Carvalho and Luiz and it goes back to my earlier point - Carvalho loved defending. He loved a crunching tackle or a goal-line clearance.

When Carvalho tackled a player, that was it. Job Done.

When Luiz tackles a player he sees it as an opportunity to get forward and join the attack.

He has every single physical tool he needs to be the best defender in the world, but it's those top 2 inches that I think he might lack and in the Premier League defending is a very instinctive thing because of the speed of the game. In Spain he might get a fraction more time and he could be phenomenal there.

Comparing carvalho to luiz is just crazy because they are totally two different players, carvalho is a crafty defender who prefer to play as cover and he complement terry game very well as terry prefer to play as stopper on the other hand luiz has tendency to be very rash in his challenge and he also prefer to play as a stopper

What would you guys do without me? LOL. :D

ESPN: Who is better at the games you play?

OSCAR: I am much better at COD, in FIFA as well.

LUIZ: How come? We have never player football.

E: Oscar decides not to embarasse David and then David chooses the car simulator.

O: The pressure is all on the other side.

L: Behave, I wont order your food at the restaurant next time.

...

L: Film me winning (to camera men), Respect the older (to Oscar). I schooled him, I told you I am better!

O: He only won it once, I always win in COD, FIFA, PES, etc.

L: Lets play the real game then? Come on!

O: OK.

L: There (poll table) is the show. Whoever loses go under the table?

O: Yes!

...

L: Guys, he is blind! (when Oscar missed the ball)

...

L: Come here puppy! Good boy.

...

O: I let him win, I wont humuliate him in his own house.

L: He only comes here because of the food.

O: Well, how can I not accept that?

E: Increasingly more adapted in England, their friendship only gets stronger and Chelsea can only benefit and be thankful for that. (shows some photos)

P.S.: I dont know what happened to the whole interview, ESPN Brasil used to have it. It was about 20-30min long and they talked about UCL, Chelsea new attacking mentality, Corinthians, life in England, their friendship, etc.

P.S.: This is the worst translation in the world, please dont judge me. I am fucking tired, it was only to give an idea!

Your translating skills are Brazilliant ( :Goober:) - thank you, great read!

England may be shit, but I was born in the same century that our tiny little island nation governed 40% of the world's land surface and had absolute naval dominance over any country on earth. Just saying :)

Now... back to discussing this curly-haired bastard.

My personality is to be a natural leader, says Chelsea's David Luiz

An interview done by Dominic Fifield in the Guardian.

When Luiz plays like he did in the last two games, I wouldn't object if he did become captain. Those were truly inspirational performances.
