After reading so many speculations, I get the feeling Chelsea ain´t buying anybody in January.

Currently, the team is in 3rd-4th gear sporadically. If Jose can get them into 5th - 6th by the end of January, the PL title is coming home to Stamford Bridge.

Despite of it, I still would like to see a DM being bought next month.

Cabaye could work, it would be interesting to see him playing at somewhere like Chelsea where a lot of creative players are in front of him. Would give better distribution than Mikel but we might lose some stability

Yes. he's a cheap and realistic option. He was going for 10-15 million in the summer. The rest of the quality options are unlikely to leave, especially in January.

There is also the possibility the club will not sign anyone in January and instead reinforce the midfield at the end of the season.

why not song. he definitely would want to play football again and that too in the position he desires and not as a make-shift CB. 10-15 mil for song is a great deal. moreover he is 26, and yet to hit his prime, he has already played football in PL and would not take that much time settling in and also would minimize the risk of things not working out.

Completely agree.

Arsenal lacked steel in the middle when Song was there. Even Arteta has been better than Song in that holding position.
