The people who keep saying club > player as an argument should realise most people want Mata to stay because he's been a fantastic servant OF THE CLUB, and feel he can still be important TO THE CLUB.

I not only have thought about it, I am almost certain he wants to go (not that I have inside info). However, Mata is not the player that would cause trouble due to a 6 months wait...

We are only selling him because ALL the parties want this deal to go through. I highly doubt our board actually tried to sell Mata to anyone. If they did, I bet other clubs would have showed interest in him!

And to your answer, yes. We should keep him until the end of the season so everybody can think through a deal better than in a rushed January transfer.
