Pedro has been scoring for fun for Spain recently. Mata is too direct for the Spain team IMO which is why Silva always gets the nod. Mata already won everything with the international team so I pray he just focuses on club level

What does silva have over mata, work rate and strength. Their vision and every other thing is about equal and silva starts more for spain.

If mata can close the gap, he will play more that's what I mean.

The directness of mata is the fact that he just stays up front and waits for the ball almost like a second striker, but if he comes back and works for the team he will play deeper than last season and be less direct because of that

His stats look really impressive compared to Ozil considering Mata has less matches and that Mata has been supplying Torres/Ba while for Ozil it's Ronaldo.

I can't trust those stats when they can't have something as age - that can be found even in wikipedia - right...

they are only 6 months apart. mata is born on 24th april 1988 (my mum's b-day, talk about things meant to be) and ozil is october 15th 1988.

these stats are probably before mata turned 25 because now he has played 124 matches for us.

so the stats probably are not wrong.

i have given the stats above. please do take a look. also bear in mind that ozil is "assisting" to CR while mata has to do that to torres.

please tell me how ozil is a whole different level???
