Well yeah a bit of politic as well but he would never be given a chance because unless Cech starts to score own goals, he won't want to be dropped. The thing with Courtois is that he got the balls to play with the club like that, other players would just be grateful to even be named in Chelsea squad but he KNOWS he is one of the best GK in the world and if he is up for sale even for 20m now, probably 9 out of 10 best teams in the world atm would have him.

You cannot sell Cech before you extend Courtois' contract. You'd risk being left with none by the end of the season.

It's not a big deal I think, if Cech leave, sooner or later Courtois will obviously sign the new contract.

With Courtois as our GK, I am strangely confident in every 1 on 1 situation we are gonna face. Not I expect that to be happened again (1 on 1 situation), but I don't mind to feel it again in the future, lol. Very exciting, like a drugs.

He's a massively impressive player and so secure at the back. I'll be honest, I haven't felt this way about Cech for a while now but this guy produced a match-changing save. He was as integral to the 3 points yesterday as Costa was and the way he claims crosses is as good as ANYONE I've ever seen. The ball just sticks to him and he makes the choice to come for it early and anything in his way is getting moved.

Hesitating? He was phenomenal with his command of his area. He caught every ball he attempted to go for. He didn't hesitate at all, he was very assured. In both games.

When I rewatched the save of the 1v1 I noticed he seems to get low to the ground so quickly, and I mean this in a good way

When he gets in the 1v1, he does as almost every keeper does, and opens his arms and legs as far as possible trying to cover as much of the goal as he can. But in doing so he leaves a gap the size of the Grand Canyon between his legs which Naismith doesn't hesitate to make use of.

Obviously, Nugent doesn't go for the shot between the legs, but watch Courtois' left leg. Before he sticks it out and saves the goal, he swings it past the inside of his right leg, effectively negating the space between his legs. It seems such a simple thing, but it is a vital difference.
