Yeah he deserves it.they stuck with him and it worked

They had very good reason to stick with him.

Even in the last season, when they finished seventh, there were glimpses that he may come out good.

They had a system, played nice and flow football but lacked final results.

With us it's the opposite: we have the results (in the race till the end, cl semifinal) but our system, build up play and football in general are unconvincing to say at least.

This is not post Sunderland knee jerk reaction, this was my general opinion through entire season.

Rodgers faith in youth is something to admire.

The likes of Flanagan & Sterling would probably be sitting on the bench if they were at Chelsea...

Flanagan wouldn't make our bench. Average player benefiting from playing in a specific system with good players around him. As with all English youngsters he's getting the usual ridiculous praise.

So do you want Jose to go? Personally I think we have good tactics but simply lack the personnel (it's boring to keep saying it, but we need a striker) to make the most of them.

As for Rodgers, there were plenty of scousers who weren't convinced by him or the football they were playing. Fair play they stuck with him but their football wasn't much more consistent than our's is.

Through all season we were dragging on those one goal wins...fearing of conceding till the end of almost every match. Football we played was generaly decent, but ending product, or better say our attacking was piss poor. Mourinho fixed defense, he didnt do ANYTHING in our attack. He brought few players (Willian, Schurrle, Salah, Etoo), he made certain players play better (Hazard), he made the team play counter football, but even in those games where we played counter football, dont get fooled that we are some world class counter attacking team. It was more on opponents mistakes (like Torres goal vs City) than actualy outclassing them (there were such games too, but few). When we play against team that parks the bus, Mourinho is CLUELESS. Yes we lack two or three players, but same could be said for Liverpool or any other team. Mourinho simply didnt know what to do against West Ham, Villa, Palace, West Brom. And then after FOUR such games, where we were piss poor, Mourinho and the players couldnt find the way how to beat Sunderland too. The refs fucked up sometimes, but they also did some favours to us. Still, refs aside, if you are better team, you will beat Sunderland with difference and refs can try as much they want....

Our attack is terrible, SAS alone scored around 50 goals, we have 67 combined. If we had SAS, we would score more goals sure, but Im sure they wouldnt put 50 of those for Chelsea like they did for pool this season. We simply dont know how to play in attack. We rely on Hazard, on flashes of individual brilliance, Oscar looks nothing like playmaker, Willian makes bad decisions, etc...

I dont want Mou to leave, he can make team better next year, but with this approach, we will still bottle it against small teams more often than not.

We bottled it this year and there should be no excuses by Mourinho or whoever.

Yeah but Sterling is something special IMO. And they trusted Sturridge when we didnt.
