Liverpool have been and will continue to be massively helped by the fact that they aren't in Europe.

That's what makes a win like yesterday's all the more important for us. We have to pile on the points while we actually have plenty of rest in between league games.

Would they still be playing at such a breakneck pace if they had a packed fixture list? Doubt it. A part of me really hopes Spuds can pip Liverpool to 4th. That way Suarez would hopefully want off and it would bring them back down to Earth and hopefully set them back a couple of seasons.

We really need to step it up and get back into good form. The 4th place side is still right on our tails.

I tell you what, I wouldn't complain a bit if we bought Bony as a second option next season. If we got a Cavani or Costa as first choice Bony wouldn't be too expensive.

Cavani, Bony, and Lukaku is a very nice looking set of forwards.

A club like Tottenham only gets 1 chance to spend such big money in a lifetime, and they somehow manage to make a great footballing side into a miserable excuse of a team.

Spuds simply cannot score goals and are now 6 points behind Liverpool. Not insurmountable by any means, but with the form Liverpool are in I can't see them failing to make top 4 with no European matches for them to focus on.

So Tottenham pretty much are settled for another season in EL and while I find that funny as hell, it's a little disappointing that we'll most certainly have Liverpool return to CL football and their fans will be more annoying than ever.

I remember posting before the season started that Spuds would have a damn nice midfield with Dembele, Paulinho, Sandro, etc. but it hasn't been nearly as effective as I thought it would be and their attack is atrocious.
